How much crazier can Leftists get? It’s a question that keeps me up at night, not out of concern, but out of sheer morbid curiosity. We’re not at the bottom yet, folks. Oh no, the Left is still drilling, armed with a shovel of hypocrisy and a pickaxe of delusion. And the best part? They’re not even trying to hide it anymore.

Watching Leftists spin their narratives is like watching a toddler try to convince you they didn’t eat the cookie, despite the chocolate smeared across their face and the crumbs trailing behind them like breadcrumbs in a fairy tale.

Oh, the lies.

Leftists have turned lying into an art form, a performance piece so brazen it would make SNL’s Tommy Flanagan blush. Have you ever been in a situation where someone lies to your face, even when you have video evidence of the truth? If you’re over 30, you’ve met this person. If you’re a Leftist, you probably are this person. It’s like watching someone deny they’re in a video while the video plays in the background, complete with their name, address, and a cameo from their dog, Mr. Snuffles.

Take, for instance, the Democrats’ claim that Biden’s appearances were deepfakes. Yes, you heard that right. Apparently, the man who occasionally forgets where he is and confuses his wife with his sister is so captivating that his opponents resorted to creating a digital doppelgänger to make him look bad. Because, of course, the real Biden is a paragon of coherence and vitality. Then there’s James Comey, the man who redefined the term “selective accountability.”

Comey read a litany of Hillary Clinton’s abuses, including her infamous email scandal, and then decided not to pursue charges. It was like a detective solving a murder, identifying the killer, and then arresting somebody else. For a detailed recap of this circus, The Hill has a nice summary.

And who could forget Hunter Biden’s laptop? The media pundits who declared he did nothing wrong must have been using the same logic as a toddler who thinks closing their eyes makes them invisible. The FBI had his laptop, chock-full of evidence of his crimes, but the Left’s response was a collective shrug. Fast forward to Biden pardoning his son, claiming Hunter was being “wrongly targeted.” Ah, yes, the classic “white privilege” defense: “My son didn’t do it, but if he did, he didn’t mean it, and if he meant it, he deserves a medal.”

The Left’s dual-system of justice is so blatant it’s almost impressive. But let’s not stop there.

The Left’s relationship with accountability is like a bad marriage: they’re committed to avoiding it at all costs. When we ask how our money is being spent, they act like we’ve requested the nuclear codes. Meanwhile, hiring 80,000 IRS agents to audit our personal taxes is somehow a good thing, but auditing the government? That’s a bridge too far.

And let’s talk about the irony of Leftists protesting President Trump on President’s Day for doing exactly what he promised to do. The only thing missing from those protests was pre-printed signs. Too bad the USAID money dried up, huh?

Speaking of irony, remember when Leftists had no problem firing federal workers who refused the “death poke” (aka the COVID vaccine)? But firing them for gross mismanagement of funds? That’s inhumane! It’s like saying, “We’ll fire you for not taking a shot, but embezzling millions? That’s just a misunderstanding, right Hunter.”

The joke circulating today says it all: “Right now, some poor 150-year-olds are having their social security cut off, and it’s all Elon Musk’s fault.”

An IG audit of Social Security revealed that $72 billion in improper payments were made. These were overpayments, so one can only imagine what else will be discovered. 

So Michelle King, the acting head of the Social Security Administration resigned after a dispute with DOGE staff. Hard to believe that DOGE actually held her accountable.

Perhaps the straw that broke the camel’s back happened when Elon Musk revealed there were nearly 20 million dead people on the Social Security database. Dead people. Even if one of them is still cashing checks it would prove a flaw in the system. Worse, one has to wonder: if the Social Security database is this messed up, what’s the state of the voter rolls?

The New York Times soft-shoed the issue:

The agency’s inspector general found in a 2023 report that nearly 19 million people in the Numident appeared over 100 years old and did not have a recorded death. The S.S.A. concluded that “almost none” of them were receiving payments from the agency — in fact, that was part of why the agency argued it wasn’t worth the expense to try to clean up information about people who largely died before the advent of electronic records.

“Elon Musk did not discover this problem in the Numident,” said Kathleen Romig, the director of social security and disability policy at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, and a former adviser at the S.S.A. “Even to call it a problem is exaggerating. It’s an issue. As the I.G. report makes clear, it’s not a problem,” she added, in the sense that people are not receiving benefits.

Every agency of the government is mismanaged.

Stephen Miller appeared on CNN and asked the most poignant question regarding DOGE: “Why are you not celebrating these cuts?” It’s a fair question. If the Left loves cutting budgets so much, why aren’t they throwing a parade?

Rand Paul grilled Louis DeJoy, the head of the US Postal Service, for losing 9.5billion in 2024. That’s on top of the $6.5 billion he lost in 2023.

DeJoy’s role was to streamline the post office, but instead, he ballooned payroll to over 190,000 employees. What business do you know that can lose $10 billion, shrink in its core business by 80 percent, and still add employees? Only in government.

As the worm turns on the Left, one can only imagine the panic setting in among bureaucrats. Homes for sale in the DC area are skyrocketing, and searches for “how to flee the country” are probably trending. The more desperate Democrats get, the more likely they are to go DefCon 1. And when they do, it won’t be pretty.

So, what’s next for the Left? More lies, more hypocrisy, and more desperation. But one thing’s for sure: they haven’t hit rock bottom yet. And when they do, they’ll just keep digging.
