Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass knew of the wildfire risk before the devastating wildfires but decided that was the perfect moment to take a trip to Africa. However, rather than hold any accountability, she has decided to waste more resources “investigating” who is to blame for the trip that no one demanded she go on.

You REALLY cannot make that level of absurdity up. Not only does she refuse to take ANY accountability, but she’s now trying to “investigate” and point the finger at everyone else for her free will.

She could save the city a lot of funding if she held up a mirror to her face, as her lack of self-awareness has to be intentional at this point.

How dumb does she think voters are that she believes she can blame others for her disregard for the wildfire threat by going on a trip to Africa? And it’s not like that trip did anything beneficial to residents, so it’s unclear why she went there, even if she thought the risk was minimal.

The best excuse she has is that Los Angeles always has a risk for wildfires. But that makes this even more pathetic because not only did she choose to ignore that risk, but she also acknowledged the city could have done more to prevent it but refused.

She could have kept her mouth shut and hoped voters would forget about her little trip overseas, but she chose to bring it back up to point the finger at everyone but herself. This is not even a good excuse because no one will believe it’s someone else’s fault.

Karen Bass could not be more incompetent and pathetic if she tried, and it would be unfathomable if she won reelection.
