Although RS-26 Rubezh can be used to deliver a thermonuclear warhead or an Avangard hypersonic glide vehicle, Thursday morning’s attack on the Dnipro region was non-nuclear, instead some sort of conventional warhead. –ZeroHedge
“Using these kinds of missiles, whether RS-26 or a true ICBM, in a conventional role does not make a lot of sense because of their relatively low accuracy and high cost,” Pavel Podvig, a senior researcher at the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research, wrote on X. “But this kind of a strike might have a value as a signal,” Podvig added.
BREAKING:
New video shows a Russian intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) striking Ukraine.
The video shows reentry vehicles from its MIRV hitting the city of Dnipro.
Ukraine’s Air Force Command claimed that Russia has, for the first time in the multi-year war, launched an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) into Ukraine. The target was the central Ukrainian city of Dnipro. This is just one more escalation following Ukraine’s use of United States-made MGM-140 Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) and British Storm Shadow missiles to strike military targets deep within Russia.
Russia appears to have retaliated for the ATACMS use by Ukraine but has still left out NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) and the Western backers of Kyiv.
According to a report by ZeroHedge, a senior Ukrainian military official told the Financial Times that Russia launched an ICBM called “RS-26 Rubezh” that has a range of 3,700 miles and can strike any European capital.

The Biden administration, over the weekend, allowed Ukraine to use ATACMS (army tactical missile systems) to strike Russia deep into the territory, and the military in Ukraine followed through quickly. The Biden administration and Ukraine likely knew exactly what they were doing by provoking Russia with the deployment of ATACMS and British missiles. United States officials have since closed the US Embassy in Kyiv “out of an abundance of caution.”
Is The U.S. Preparing For Retaliation By Russia?
Russia could retaliate against the U.S. and other Western allies at any time, even though they have not done so yet. World War 3 could start at any time as this appears to be a dramatic uptick in tensions as of this weekend, and the decision by the U.S.
