Texas Children’s Hospital performed illegal sex changes on children. This is unlawful in the State of Texas. This is also immoral, deranged, and the antithesis of medical care. All of these reasons are why the hospital must now open a “detransition” clinic where patients will receive care free of charge for at least five years. This is an objectively good thing, but it is still sad that it needed to be done, nonetheless.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton secured the $10 million settlement after the hospital performed illegal sex changes and prescribed medications for trans affirmative “care.”

According to The Post Millennial:

The settlement follows an investigation into the hospital begun in 2023 by Paxton’s office accused of providing sex change treatments to minors after Governor Greg Abbott signed legislation banning children from getting puberty blockers and cross-sex hormone treatments.

Again, this law was implemented to protect Texas youth. The problem, though, is that we now live in a time where people are so insane and evil that they perform such procedures in the first place. History will not look kindly on the people responsible for this scandal.

Texas Children’s Hospital will pay $10 million to the state for “billing Texas Medicaid for unallowable and illegal ‘gender-transition’ interventions, including by using false diagnosis codes; and compels the termination and revocation of privileges of multiple physicians,” a press release from Paxton’s office said.

The detransition clinic will be funded by the hospital for the first five years and will be free of charge for patients that are admitted. “As part of the settlement, Texas Children’s has also agreed to fire, permanently and irrevocably terminate all existing privileges, and never again hire or credential five woke doctors who performed harmful medical interventions on Texans,” the AG’s office states.

It is unclear if the doctors did what they did because they are sinister in nature, truly that naive that they believed they were doing the right thing, solely in it for the cash, or a combination of some or all of the above. Nonetheless, whatever the reasoning behind these evil acts, they put themselves on the wrong side of history and caused irreversible harm to children — all while pretending to perform medical care. Again, these people are on the wrong side of history, to say the very least.

While it is great that the hospital will now help fix the problem it created, it will never erase the harm it caused these children. To call this infuriating would be an understatement.
