Kai Trump, the quick-witted granddaughter of President-elect Donald Trump, delivered another viral moment with pro golfer Scottie Scheffler, humorously referencing the golfer’s headline-making arrest earlier this year.

“Scottie, you’re too nice,” Trump teased. “But how was jail?” The question referenced Scheffler’s brief arrest during the PGA Championship in May. Scheffler, always calm under pressure, laughed it off and delivered a candid response.

“You know, honestly, it was a bit boring. There’s not really much to do in there. I was in a cell by myself, and you’re just kind of sitting there looking at the walls. So it was a little boring,” he said with a smile.

Not letting up, Trump fired back with another jab. “I mean, orange is not a bad color, though, on you. Honestly, you pulled it off just like Tiger Woods.”

Scheffler, showing his good-natured humor, replied with a subtle nod to his Texas Longhorn roots, saying, “I prefer the burnt orange a little bit more than the jail cell orange, but yeah.” Scheffler’s arrest made headlines earlier this year when he was detained near Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, during the PGA Championship. The golfer attempted to bypass a traffic scene caused by an earlier fatal accident but was stopped by police.

He was charged with second-degree assault of a police officer and reckless driving, though all charges were later dropped after the incident was deemed a misunderstanding. At the time, Scheffler called the experience “traumatic” but has since managed to take it all in stride.
