The idea was to render elections moot. If Democrats win, they get their way. If they don’t win, they use the filibuster to shut down the government, using food as a weapon, until they get their way. The media put pressure on Republicans to cave in by pushing the preposterous lie that the GOP was responsible for the shutdown, as if Republicans were filibustering themselves. But they held firm, and the Schumer Shutdown collapsed. The Democrat base of spoiled idiot children — personified by Sunny Hostin of ABC News’s The View — is throwing a tantrum that is delightful to watch:

Things have reached a pretty pass for Democrats when their lonely voice of sanity is a guy who shows up for his Senate job in hoodies and gym shorts.
