George Orwell’s allegory Animal Farm warned generations of readers of the corrupt tyranny that inevitably follows Marxist revolutions. Like everything else liberals get their hands on, it has been subverted. Hollyweird just released an animated version that incredibly enough is anti-capitalist — that is, pro-communist.
Via GB News:
The CGI adaptation, which took 14 years to complete… shifts its focus away from Mr Orwell’s 1945 critique of Soviet-style authoritarianism.
Instead, the film takes aim at capitalism and corporate greed, introducing a wealthy antagonist not present in the original text.
Remarks Rafe Heydel-Mankoo:
“Bizarre and depressing. But what can one expect from a progressive Hollywood that openly embraces socialism. Animal Farm’s themes and warnings have arguably never been more pertinent to the West than today.”
Maybe Orwell would appreciate the irony. As noted at Hot Air:
Orwell famously warned that totalitarians seize control of history, and hence reality itself, to impose their will. Totalitarianism relies on force to keep people in line, but what distinguishes it from mere authoritarianism is that it aims to control not just the bodies of its subjects but their minds.
The movie clearly aims to indoctrinate children, who won’t understand that the story has been turned on its head:
HOLLYWOOD TAKES ORWELL’S ANTI-COMMUNIST MASTERPIECE – MAKES IT ANTI-CAPITALIST AND WOKE INSTEAD
Andy Serkis spent 14 years adapting Animal Farm.
Added a billionaire villain not in the book. Made her the main threat.
