A frisky Florida couple were caught having ‘loud sex’ on top of a huge Art Basel animal installation on a beach – but were let go with a simple warning.
The couple, who are yet to be identified, were caught in the act on one of the elephants of the Great Elephant Migration installation on South Beach on November 25, Page Six reports.
‘A security guard heard strange noises and went over with his flashlight to investigate,’ a source told the outlet.
‘Apparently he saw a couple on top of one of the elephants! We do not know how they got up there.’
Despite the couple’s antics, a sympathetic security guard let them go and did not alert the cops.
‘He simply asked them to leave, no arrests were made,’ says the publication’s insider.
But it seems they were not the only people who were interested in the installation.
A rapper, allegedly affiliated with DJ Khalid, was spotted at the Beach attempting to film a music video among the herd at around 4am.

He too was let go with a warning and no charges were pressed.
It remains unclear if both incidents happened at the same day.
As a result of the rising incidents, security has been increased around the installation to ensure that it does not endure any damage.

Each of the herd’s members, which is made of entire elephant families including babies, adolescents and full size adults, is available for sale for about $28,000.
Each elephant is paired with a wildlife conservation NGO and all sales go towards benefiting the artists and the nonprofits.
Cher, Diane von Furstenberg and Sex and The City star Kristin Davis are some of ambassadors of the project.
The majestic installation was last seen in New York City’s Meatpacking district and will be moved to Hermann Park in Houston, Texas in April 2025.

Two artists were previously removed from a Miami Art Basel after milking a woman’s breast and selling it for $200,000 two years ago.
Artists OONA and Lori Baldwin staged an impromptu exhibit after their planned performance Milking the Artist was deemed ‘too controversial.’
In front of a crowd of 300, the two artists milked OONA’s breast, which appears to be prosthetic, and auctioned it off.
The first glass of milk sold for 50 Ethereum – which is equal to $64,000 – and the second glass sold for 158 Ethereum, or $200,000, before the artists were forcibly kicked out of the premises.
