Former White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced Wednesday she has left the Democrat Party.

Jean-Pierre will release a new book that discloses details about a “broken” administration.

From the New York Post:

Jean-Pierre, 50, worked as Biden’s top spokeswoman for two years and eight months and stunned fellow White House alums by announcing her book “Independent: A Look Inside a Broken White House, Outside the Party Lines,” due out on Oct. 21.

“Jean-Pierre didn’t come to her decision to be an Independent lightly,” Hachette Book Group said in a promotional release, which hints that the former Biden spokesperson may focus her ire on figures aside from the 46th president in her account.

“She has served two American presidents, [Barack] Obama and Biden … She takes us through the three weeks that led to Biden’s abandoning his bid for a second term and the betrayal by the Democratic Party that led to his decision,” the tease goes.

“In a hard-hitting yet hopeful critique, Jean-Pierre defines what it means to be part of the growing percentage of our fractured electorate that is Independent, why it can be worthwhile to carve a political space more loyal to personal beliefs than a party affiliation, and what questions you need to ask yourself to determine where you fit politically.”

The former press secretary faces accusations of profiting off the cover-up of Joe Biden’s health and mental decline.

“Former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre says she’s LEAVING the Democrat party and announced her new tell all book about the Biden admin. She stood as an official spokesperson for the WH and LIED for years to the American people about Biden’s health and mental decline. She was IN on the COVERUP! She’s now trying to profit off of her lies,” Libs of TikTok wrote.

Fox News reports:

Several books about the Biden-Harris White House and 2024 re-election campaign have been released since Trump’s return to the White House, including Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson’s “Original Sin,” which details the cover-up of the president’s apparent decline in office.

Jean-Pierre routinely dismissed questions about Biden’s fitness as White House press secretary as early as 2022.

“Don, you’re asking me this question,” Jean-Pierre told former CNN host Don Lemon that year, after he asked a question about Biden’s ability to serve a second term. “Oh my gosh. He’s the President of the United States. I can’t even keep up with him.”

In February, Jean-Pierre accused Democrats of unleashing a “firing squad” on the former president, who was forced off the Democratic presidential ticket last July after weeks of pressure from his party.

“I had never seen anything like it before. I had never seen a party do that in the way that they did, and it was hurtful and sad to see that happening. A firing squad around a person who I believe was a true patriot, a person who I believe did everything that he can for this country,” she said.
