*crickets* … where did all of Shedeur’s haters go?

In his first start Sunday, quarterback Shedeur Sanders led the Cleveland Browns to a commanding 24-10 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. The young QB is officially 1-0 to begin his NFL career. Everybody had some form of focus on Sanders, the fifth-round draft selection who had spent the season as the backup to fellow first-year QB Dillon Gabriel, as he finally got the chance to prove he should be Cleveland’s starter for the rest of the year.

Sanders completed 11 of 20 passes for 209 yards, tossing one touchdown and one interception to become the first Browns rookie QB to win his debut start in 30 years (1995).

The first touchdown pass of Sanders’ career came courtesy of running back Dylan Sampson, who turned a short screen pass into a dazzling 66-yard catch-and-run score in the fourth quarter, blowing the game open at 24-3.

I have this thing about myself where I happen to gravitate towards individuals who are hated by a lot of people, particularly when it’s unjustified. This is how I ultimately became a Trump supporter. I don’t know, it’s weird, but that’s how I’ve become a Shedeur Sanders fan.

And my man shut all the doubters up!

Good on Shedeur. I’m curious to see how the rest of the Browns’ season plays out with him at the helm.
