Trump’s decisive victory caught no one by surprise who was following the odds at Polymarket. Founder Shayne Coplan understood that the tight race portrayed by the media and pollsters was a fabrication. By undermining the liberal establishment narrative, he helped make rigging the election on the scale required to keep Democrats in power infeasible. Also, he helped some make a killing off their drubbing.

Enter Merrick Garland’s FBI:

The FBI reportedly raided the Manhattan home of Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan early Wednesday morning after the election betting platform correctly predicted Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 presidential race last week.

The KGB would approve of the way they rousted him out of sleep. No word on whether they used a Black Maria to haul him away.

A spokesperson for Polymarket called it “obvious political retribution by the outgoing administration against Polymarket for providing a market that correctly called the 2024 presidential election.”

They seized Coplan’s phone and other electronic devices. At least there is no mention of a SWAT team, like they used to menace pro-life activist Mark Houck.

Maybe this isn’t as bad as it looks, and the FBI had legitimate cause. It doesn’t comment on ongoing investigations, so unless Coplan is prosecuted, we will probably never know. All the same, let’s hope we are getting a last glimpse of the FBI under Democrat control.

Comments Coplan:

“We are deeply committed to being non-partisan, and today is no different, but the incumbents should do some self-reflecting and recognize that taking a more pro-business, pro-startup approach may be what would have changed their fate this election.”

If only all inconsolable moonbats would seek the services of Don’t Cry Cryo. Some may deal with their disappointment less constructively.
