Joe Biden finally agreed to drop out of the 2024 presidential race when many of his own supporters began speaking out about his obvious cognitive decline.

But three months after President Donald Trump assumed office for his second term, Biden is once again touring the nation — and his frequent gaffes remain on full display.

For former Jill Biden spokesperson Michael LaRosa, the situation is not only a sad reminder of Biden’s condition but also a boon to the Trump administration.

According to the New York Post:

“This was hard to watch,” one former White House official told the Post of the speech, where Biden also  reminisced about “colored kids.”

“It felt like seeing someone you care about start to regress. We just wanted him to enjoy retirement like other presidents — not go out like this,” the official said.

The mix-up only added to the Trump administration and conservatives’ attempt to use the unpopular ex-president’s appearance as a distraction from recent tariff turmoil, LaRosa added.

Biden’s return was a “lovely gift for the White House, President Trump, and conservative media at a time when they were playing defense and under the kind of heavy scrutiny over the botched tariff policy in ways we haven’t seen since Trump was elected,” he said.

LaRosa lamented that Biden’s handlers should recognize the end of his political career and act accordingly.

“It’s a heartbreaking and tragic ending to their time in public life, but it’s also the truth, and they should index the political realities into their decision-making,” the former aide continued.

Biden’s public appearances over the past several days have fueled significant social media backlash:

Even the left-leaning Daily Beast reported on the disconcerting circumstances surrounding a recent Ivy League speech:

The event was reportedly planned weeks in advance, but the timing wasn’t great, as it turned out, with Harvard battling a $2.2 billion funding freeze and threats to its tax-exempt status.

Either way, the clandestine plot for Biden to talk to about 50 students at the Kennedy School was a bust.

First, he was forced to talk over pro-Palestinian protesters outside ringing bells, banging drums, and chanting: “Biden, Biden, you can’t hide. You’re committing genocide,” according to the Harvard Crimson.

The demonstration, involving about a dozen people, was said to have been organized by a group called Harvard Out of Occupied Palestine.

So much for the discrete preparations with students being told in advance only that they were invited to listen to a “special guest.”

Then the 82-year-old made the wrong kind of headlines in the college news coverage with the kind of gaffes that led to him quitting his re-election campaign last year after a disastrous televised debate with Trump.

Biden’s loyal adviser, Mike Donilon, now a resident fellow at Harvard, who accompanied him, had to correct him after he mixed up Ukraine with Iraq as he discussed the war with Russia.

Then he clumsily dropped a melting ice cream bar on the floor after biting into it after his speech, the Crimson reported.

And here’s what pundit Bill O’Reilly had to say about another recent Biden speech:
