Viewers of ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” can count on a nightly monologue chock full of insults and unhinged allegations aimed at President Donald Trump.
Kimmel saved a segment of his eponymous talk show for jokes about some of his fellow anti-Trump leftists in Congress for participating in a widely panned video game-inspired social media trend.
As Breitbart reported:
“As the pile of crazy starts to build, a lot of people have been wondering how and when the Democrats are planning to fight back. Well, look out, because we’ve got a plan and we’re launching it on TikTok,” Kimmel said during his monologue at the top of Thursday evening’s show. He then showed a clip of the recent very cringe-worthy Democrat video entitled “Choose Your Fighter.”
The Democrat video shows a succession of female congressional Democrats jumping around and flailing about in fake martial arts moves in emulation of video games such as Street Fighter. The Democrat video has been roasted online and has earned a lot of mockery.
Kimmel was also chagrined over the Democrat’s silly attempt to look cool and tough in the face of Trump’s amazing first few months in office.
As the crowd guffawed at the Democrat video, Kimmel replied, “Yeah. We’re not going to stand back and take it anymore, we’re gonna fight!” He the recreated the fight crouch the Democrats used in their absurd video.
Criticism of the TikTok trend spilled over onto X in recent days:
“Choose your fighter!” Yeah, no thanks.
Democrats keep outdoing themselves with dumbness. Who is getting paid big consulting bucks to come up with this stuff??
Not even the TikTok generation wants to vote for these people.

The White House soon came out with a response of its own:
This is the White House response to that cringe democrat choose your fighter video.
We are not the same.

The New York Post also covered the largely negative public reaction:
Meanwhile, the widely mocked video of the Democratic House members included New York’s Ocasio-Cortez, Rep. Lauren Underwood of Illinois, Rep. Katherine Clark of Massachusetts, Rep. Judy Chu of California, Rep. Jasmine Crockett of Texas and Rep. Susie Lee of Nevada, along with fun facts about them and music from Super Smash Bros in the background.
AOC, 35, revealed she is a Trekkie while Clark, 61, who is also the minority whip, said she doesn’t like hair dye. Crockett, 43, disclosed she’s not a morning person while Underwood, 38, insisted she doesn’t like balloons.
But the short clip failed to hit the mark.
“Democrats Not Be Cringe Challenge,” the Trump administration’s Rapid Response account wrote on X. “Level: Impossible.”
“The problem isn’t policy failures, economic anxiety, or a general sense that everything is coming apart at the seams,” political writer Matt Lewis wrote.
Here’s a clip from Kimmel’s recent monologue:
