A post has gone viral online that appeared to show Erika Kirk having moved or removed a photograph of her and Charlie Kirk at their wedding.

A Turning Point USA spokesperson told Newsweek, “Erika moved it to a lower shelf when her daughter asked to see it so she could hold and look at the photo. It’s still on the studio shelf, just lower down where her daughter can look at it whenever she’s in there with her mom.”

Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old co-founder of Turning Point USA, was fatally shot on September 10, 2025, while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University. Prosecutors have charged Tyler Robinson with aggravated murder in the shooting.

His death thrust his widow, Erika Kirk, into the spotlight worldwide. She has led Turning Point USA since and has faced some criticism over her frequent public appearances.

Several conspiracy theories have formed following Charlie Kirk’s killing, causing some divides on the right.

The images circulating online show a screenshot from an interview given by Erika Kirk to Glenn Beck of Blaze TV in December and an earlier image of Charlie Kirk.

In both images, the Kirks are sitting in front of what appears to be the same bookcase. In the image of Charlie Kirk, there is a photo from their wedding behind them. In the image of Erika Kirk, the photo is not present.

Though the interview was in December, the screenshots comparing the two images have taken off online in recent days.

Social media user @kirawontmiss shared a side-by-side of the two pictures, which has been viewed 3.9 million times as of reporting. The post read: “People noticed that Erika Kirk has removed the wedding photo with Charlie Kirk from his bookshelf.”

Democratic strategist Keith Edwards also shared the moment, in a post viewed 1.1 million times, where he wrote “Yikes.”
