DOGE Master Musk Prepares To Leave Government, Left Rejoices

For most of us, seeing Elon Musk leaving government is sad. For anyone on the Left, the DOGE team out there looking for waste, fraud and abuse is way too risky. They are glad to see the back of Elon. We will use the Left digital rag Politico as our exemplar today:

A Special Government Employee may not work more than 130 days or fewer out of a 365 day period. Next week, it will 130 days since the Tech Bros started the Department of Government Efficiency in the Trump Administration 2.0. Yesterday, Musk gave notice:

For this moment, we are going to ignore that not even the Republicans are appreciative of the hard work by DOGE since they have codified bupkis. Elected Republicans have less than zero respect for those of us who vote for them. The Democrats have even less than zero respect for how hard the American people work.

Politico posted a nasty hit piece today: “After four months of disruption, Elon Musk signals he’s leaving government.” The DOGE leader said his “scheduled time” as a special employee is up.

Is Politico intimating that’s Musk’s “scheduled time” is not up? And, four months of disruption? Huh, whut? They just despise Musk because he is not “their boy” right now. From the first paragraph:

Elon Musk is saying goodbye to DOGE.

The billionaire adviser to President Donald Trump, whose government-slashing initiative reshaped Washington over a whirlwind four months, on Wednesday confirmed his time as a “special government employee” was concluding soon.

Groovy right? Something like DOGE should be whirlwind. That’s like pulling the bandage off quickly. More:

Musk and Trump have signaled for weeks that the so-called Department of Government Efficiency chief would soon take a step back from the White House. Musk committed last month to drop his DOGE duties significantly and focus on his companies amid tumbling Tesla sales and stock prices.

Year over year, Tesla stock price has doubled. The stock is a hold. As for Tesla sales, yes sales are down. With the exception of BYD which is the new shiny thing, Tesla is still doing better than other Domestic brands.

Like many other people, I am grateful to Elon Musk. How many other Billionaires would be willing to bang their heads against the brick wall of government every day.

According to a new article from Newsweek, Tesla investors are rather demanding:

Investors in Elon Musk’s car company, Tesla, have called on Musk to work at least 40 hours a week at the company.

In a letter to Tesla’s board chair Robyn Denholm, a group of pension fund leaders who own about 7.9 million shares in the company called on the Tesla board to mandate Musk to show more face. They cited concerns about the company’s share value and reputation, and made a number of other demands on the company.

Elon Musk, the DOGE father may be taking off, but the Tech Bros will still be around to guide us.
