🚨

The announcement from Disney and ABC. It’s almost as if it was orchestrated to get Kimmel a ton of attention, get that talentless troll headlines splashed on front pages, paint him as some victim – all to pump his ratings and get folks to tune in to this abject failure of a human being.

Sinclair and Newstar and many ABC affiliates said, “Thanks, but no thanks.”

Jimmy Kimmel’s exact words last week: ‘the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than ONE OF THEM.’

Variety: The decision to bring Kimmel back was approved by Bob Iger, Disney’s CEO, and Dana Walden, co-chair of Disney Entertainment, according to a person familiar with the matter. The executives acted based on what was best for the company, this person said, and not on external factors. Indeed, it remains unclear if all ABC affiliates will air Kimmel’s program. Spokespersons for Nexstar and Sinclair could not be reached for immediate comment (Variety).

Sinclair, later Monday: Beginning Tuesday night, Sinclair will be preempting Jimmy Kimmel Live! across our ABC affiliate stations and replacing it with news programming. Discussions with ABC are ongoing as we evaluate the show’s potential return (Sinclair).

Jeff Charles of Townhall: The host remained uncharacteristically silent behind the scenes as the debate played out on the airwaves and interwebs. It is not clear what kind of agreement Disney and Kimmel reached to bring back his show, but it would not be surprising to see the alleged comedian offer a mea culpa of sorts when he returns on Tuesday (Townhall).
