It won’t be the first time that President Trump has been nominated.

But who knows — this time he could come away with the win, considering he’s apparently the only head of state currently working to AVOID WWIII, while all the rest seem to be racing to see who can get there first.

Today, Republican Congressman Darrell Issa of California announced that he will nominate President Trump for the Nobel Peace Price, posting his announcement on X:

Considering that he’s the only American President in my lifetime (and I’m not “young”) who didn’t start a war or make an ongoing war even worse… he more than qualifies, if we’re being fair.

Initially, Rep. Issa of California didn’t detail exactly what impact President Trump had made which would be attached to his nomination.

Later, a spokesperson for Rep. Issa released a statement detailing that President Trump’s efforts to bring peace in the Mideast would form the basis for the nomination, according to The Hill:

“Today I will nominate @realDonaldTrump for the Nobel Peace Prize,” Issa wrote in a post on X. “No one deserves it more.”

Issa did not specify in his post why he was nominating the president.

In a subsequent statement, however, Issa’s spokesperson pointed to Trump’s peace efforts in the Middle East.

“Congressman Issa recently led a Codel [Congressional delegation] to four Middle East nations – he observed first-hand and from several heads of state that the spirit of peace and moving away from conflict is real and multilateral,” Jonathan Wilcox, Issa’s deputy chief of staff and communications director, said in a statement to The Hill.

“From the time of his election and after being sworn in, President Trump has inspired and promoted the cause of peace – and in a way we have not heard in many years,” Wilcox continued.

“His advocacy is an aspiration of a world without war, and we are seeing this come into focus in several regions of the world today – not just one,” he added.

The announcement comes as Trump has reset U.S. policy around the Ukraine war, ramping up pressure on Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky while thawing relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Talk of a potential Nobel Peace Prize nomination has picked up steam lately with a slew of people hinting that he deserved it.

Marco Rubio on ABC over the weekend mentioned it, pointing out that if President Trump happened to be a democrat… he would definitely win the Nobel Peace Prize:

To the utter torture of CNN’s cadre, Scott Jennings said virtually the same thing about a week ago.

While discussing the war in Ukraine and President Trump’s work in that area, Jennings said if the President is successful in what he is trying to do, “they oughta give Trump the Nobel Peace Prize”:

Elise Stefanik, who has been the fourth highest ranking Republican in the House for several years, and who is set to become President Trump’s Ambassador to the United Nations (assuming we don’t simply end our cooperation with that evil entity) also brought up the Nobel Peace Prize recently.

Speaking at CPAC a little more than a week ago, Stefanik argued that President Trump shouldn’t just get the Nobel Peace Prize…

But she argued he already deserves it JUST based on his impact from his first term alone!:

While a nomination is certainly not guaranteed to end in winning the Nobel Peace Prize, something feels different this time around.

While I don’t think the leftist organization behind the Prize is likely to hand the award to President Trump as easily as they once did for Obama — long before he had accomplished anything (good OR bad)…

There is the chance that President Trump is on a trajectory to reshape the United States, and thus the world, in ways that are so overwhelmingly incontrovertible ways that those lefties on the decision making panel for the Nobel Peace Prize might not feel like they have much choice.

One of the previous nominations President Trump received for the Nobel Peace Prize happened in 2020.

At that time, he was nominated for brokering a peace deal between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.

Here was the announcement from the White House regarding that nomination (which he certainly should have won!):

While I’m not big on the whole Nobel Peace Prize mystique, there’s no denying that President Trump has achieved far and above many who have won the coveted prize in the past.

I’m wondering just how long it will take the mainstream media and the leftists on the Nobel decision panel to realize they’re so far on the wrong side of history that it’s going to be their own legitimacy that gets called in to question if they DON’T give President Trump the win in this!

This is a developing story.  We’ll bring you updates as they become available!
