CBS News has finally agreed to release the full, unredacted transcript of the infamous Kamala Harris 60 Minutes interview.

You know, the one that CBS felt they had to cut and splice to make Kamala look more coherent?

Here’s a refresher:

Yeah, that one.

President Trump has sued the network for $10B over their deceptive editing.

Reportedly, the network has agreed to settle the lawsuit, but they pushed back on releasing the transcript…until now.

Thanks to President Trump’s new FCC Chair Brendan Carr, CBS is now being forced to hand over the real interview transcripts.

Take a look:

The New York Post reported:

CBS says it will turn over an unedited transcript of its October interview with Kamala Harris to the Federal Communications Commission, part of President Donald Trump’s ongoing fight with the network over how it handled a story about his opponent.

Trump sued CBS for $10 billion over the “60 Minutes” interview, claiming it was deceptively edited to make Harris look good.

Published reports said that CBS’ parent company, Paramount, has been talking to Trump’s lawyers about a settlement.

The network said Friday that it was compelled by Brendan Carr, Trump’s appointee as FCC chairman, to turn over the transcripts and camera feeds of the interview for a parallel investigation by the commission.

“60 Minutes” has resisted releasing transcripts for this and all of its interviews, to avoid second-guessing of its editing process.

The Post Millennial added:

CBS has agreed to hand over the unedited transcript and camera feeds of former Vice President Kamala Harris’ October 60 Minutes interview to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

The decision follows a lawsuit filed by President Donald Trump against CBS, in which he is seeking $10 billion over claims that the interview was deceptively edited to favor his political opponent.

According to the New York Post, on Friday, CBS stated it released the materials at the request of Trump’s appointee for FCC chairman, Brendan Carr. 60 Minutes has previously refused to release transcripts of its interviews, but this case has drawn heightened attention due to Trump’s allegations.

CBS’ parent company, Paramount, may ultimately decide to settle the case with Trump. This comes after the former president recently secured high-profile settlements in similar cases, including a $16 million settlement from ABC News over a defamation lawsuit involving George Stephanopoulos. Last week, Meta also agreed to pay $25 million to settle a lawsuit Trump filed after his suspension from Facebook in 2021.

The lawsuit against CBS focuses on editing discrepancies in Harris’ “60 Minutes” interview. The controversy arose after clips from the interview aired on both “Face the Nation” and “60 Minutes,” showing Harris giving different responses to the same question from correspondent Bill Whitaker.
