Cancer Survivor DJ Daniel’s Dad Blasts Maddow’s ‘Bad Energy,’ Tells Her To ‘Shut Her Mouth’

After young brain cancer survivor DJ Daniel was honored at President Donald Trump’s recent congressional address, it became clear just how far Democrats and leftist media figures will go to avoid commending the president on absolutely anything.

For starters, Democratic lawmakers refused to applaud when Daniel received his tribute:

Then MSNBC host Rachel Maddow cited the touching moment as evidence of Trump’s supposedly “disgusting” brand of politics.

But Daniel’s dad had some thoughts of his own for the far-left cable news talking head, as the New York Post reported:

The father of Devarjaye “DJ” Daniel — the 13-year-old cancer survivor who was made an honorary US Secret Service agent during President Trump’s congressional address Tuesday — has no patience for Rachel Maddow undermining his son’s moment.

“She needs to shut her mouth if she has nothing nice to say,” Theodis Daniel told The Post of the MSNBC anchor, who declared Trump “disgusting” for calling out DJ and his cancer battle.

“This lady didn’t even serve time in the military,” he added. “I was on the USS Kitty Hawk. She does not need to put her bad energy on us.”

DJ stole hearts and inspired a nation when the young Texan was made an honorary US Secret Service agent by Director Sean Curran.

Aside from congressional Democrats and MSNBC hosts, however, Daniel received almost universal support and encouragement from the American people:

The president had his own thoughts about the response from Maddow and her on-air colleague Nicolle Wallace, as Breitbart reported:

“And worse than CNN is MSDNC, which is the worst, and the good news is very few people watch them anymore. They have lost such credibility,” Trump said. “And frankly, what Nicole Wallace said, I’ve never been a fan of hers, and she’s not very talented, but I’ll tell you, what she said the other day about that young man is disgraceful.”

“She should be forced to resign, and Rachel Maddow should be forced to resign,” he added. “Nobody watches her anyway. It’s not possible they pay her as much money as I hear, but certainly, she’s lost all credibility, both of them. But what they said the other day, they should be forced to resign, about that young person who is suffering greatly.”

At least one Democratic lawmaker had the courage to speak out against his party’s behavior, as Fox News reported:
