A British-born teacher who heads an expensive preschool has been arrested in a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) sting operation after allegedly trying to solicit pornographic material involving a child. James Stewart Carroll, 55, appeared in court on Tuesday to face charges of attempted coercion and enticement of a minor. He could be sentenced to up to 10 years in prison.
Carroll has been at the helm of the National Child Research Center, an institution requiring an annual fee of tens of thousands of dollars, since 2018. The FBI began investigating Carroll in September after being alerted by Discord staff over illicit activities.
Using the username “CircumcisedLondonGay,” he allegedly uploaded an image depicting two minors, resulting in further investigation. Federal authorities traced Carroll’s online activities back to his residence, enabling them to initiate contact with him through an undercover FBI agent.
Throughout conversations on Discord, Carroll reportedly expressed a specific interest in boys aged between eight and 12. Subsequently, pretending to be a separated father, the FBI agent prompted Carroll to request specific videos of abuse, culminating in his arrest.
Carroll’s arrest comes just months after a Canadian LGBTQ pride group leader was also arrested for possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
The head of the Maryland LGBT Democrats was also exposed in a sting operation this year by child predator hunter Alex Rosen. Democrat Michael Knaapen allegedly expressed a desire to rape a child.
