Democrats just proved what they really stand for — again!
Today, the Senate voted on an amendment that would have required voters to show basic photo ID.
It needed 60 votes to advance.
But, in a vote of 53-47, Democrats blocked it from passing.
Take a look:
HOLY CRAP! Every single Senate Democrat just BLOCKED a GOP proposal requiring photo ID in nationwide elections, 53-47
DEMOCRATS SAY: “We support photo ID”
DEMOCRAT ACTIONS: “We support voter fraud”

In the end, zero Democrat Senators voted in favor of the amendment.
CBS News reported:
The amendment to the elections bill needed 60 votes to advance. It was defeated in a 53 to 47 vote.
The vote came during the second week of a marathon debate over a controversial elections bill known as the SAVE America Act, which would require proof of citizenship to register to vote and certain forms of photo ID to cast a ballot. The legislation does not have enough support to clear the 60-vote threshold in the upper chamber, but President Trump has dialed up the pressure on Senate Republicans to find a way to force it through.
Schumer condemned the amendment on Thursday before the vote, arguing it would “impose the single strictest voter ID law in America.”
“This radical amendment would toss out every single voter ID requirement in all 50 states for federal elections and put in an overly restrictive, one-size-fits-all approach,” the New York Democrat said.
GOP Sen. Jon Husted of Ohio offered the amendment, which lists valid forms of photo ID as a driver’s license, state-issued identification, passport, military ID or tribal ID.
“The types of IDs that are sitting in wallets right now, that the American people use on a regular basis,” Senate Majority Leader John Thune, a South Dakota Republican, said in a floor speech Wednesday.
Ahead of the vote, Husted called the amendment “clean, simple, straightforward,” adding that there are “no additional restrictions, no tricks, no games, no prohibition on absentee voting.”
Amid all the debate over the SAVE America Act, Democrats have repeatedly said that they support voter ID requirements.
They just have a problem with all the other stuff in the package.
Just last week, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer blatantly stated that “Democrats support voter ID.”
The Hill has more:
Husted cited Schumer’s comment earlier this month that Democrats support requiring voters to show ID when voting.
Schumer told reporters in a March 15 press call that Democrats included a voter ID provision in their Freedom to Vote Act, which they introduced in 2021 when they controlled the Senate.
“Democrats support voter ID. In fact, we included it and it is included in our Freedom to Vote legislation several years ago. So, we’re not opposed,” Schumer said at the time.
Husted said his amendment would give every Senate Democrat the chance to show that’s true.
“We’re going to take them at their word and offer an opportunity to turn those words into action,” Husted said on the floor before the vote. “The Senate will take a roll call vote on a clean, simple, straightforward amendment of mine to require a photo ID to vote in American elections. Nothing more. Straightforward. That’s it.”
Husted said his proposal would allow voters to show a driver’s license, a state ID, a passport, a military veterans ID or a tribal ID.
Schumer stood up on the floor to slam Husted’s proposal as another attempt by Republicans to suppress votes in the upcoming midterm election.
“Republicans have an amendment on the floor dressed up as common-sense voter ID. This is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, and it’s a giant cover-up, which is voter suppression, kicking people off the rolls without their knowledge or consent,” Schumer said.
“The point is not about voter ID. In fact, 99 percent of the SAVE Act doesn’t have to do with voter ID,” he claimed.
Husted said Schumer’s response was a “misrepresentation” of the facts because his amendment was narrowly drafted to deal only with voter ID.
So, why is it that every time Democrats have an opportunity to pass a national voter ID law, they unanimously vote against it?
It’s almost like they don’t actually want to secure our elections.
I’m sure it has nothing to do with needing to rely on fraud to win…
Yes, actions speak louder than words! The democrats support election fraud!
