President Trump just announced that Dan Bongino will be the next Deputy Director of the FBI.

The former Secret Service agent and conservative commentator will be Kash Patel’s second-in-command as they work to revive justice and fairness in our great nation.

The New York Post reported:

Conservative commentator and ex-Secret Service agent Dan Bongino has been named deputy director of the FBI, President Trump announced Sunday night.

“Great news for Law Enforcement and American Justice! Dan Bongino, a man of incredible love and passion for our Country, has just been named the next DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF THE FBI, by the man who will be the best ever Director, Kash Patel,” the president posted on Truth Social.

Bongino 50, is a former NYPD officer and worked as a special agent for the Secret Service before pivoting careers, Trump said.

He previously hosted the Fox News show “Unfiltered” on Saturday nights before he parted ways with the network in 2023.

Reuters via USA Today added:

President Donald Trump said in a post on social media Sunday that Dan Bongino, a conservative talk show host, will be deputy director of the FBI.

Bongino will join Kash Patel, who was recently confirmed by the Senate as director of the FBI. Trump said Bongino was named to the role by Patel. The position does not require Senate confirmation.
