Multiple people were shot in Washington, D.C. just around 8:00 PM on Friday evening.

Emergency crews quickly arrived on the scene, and four people have been hospitalized.

The identity of the shooter has not been revealed, nor has the motive.

However, some reports are saying it was related to domestic violence.

This news follows a string of violent attacks nationwide since the start of the New Year.

WJLA Washington D.C. reported:

Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a shooting in the 1500 block of Harry Thomas Way in Northeast DC.

At 8:18 pm Fifth District officers arrived at the scene and located an adult male and an adult female conscious and breathing and were transported to a hospital.

Later two additional adult males arrived at an area hospital, and both were conscious and breathing.

Detectives are on the scene and investigating.

Hindustan Times added:

According to reports, two men with gunshot wounds were transported to a nearby hospital while two others reportedly arrived at a hospital on their own.

One of the men is believed to be a suspect in the shooting, though law enforcement has yet to release additional details.
