It’s official: Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey are now under investigation by the Department of Justice.
They are both facing allegations of impeding federal law enforcement agents.
It’s FAFO time.
Check out this clip from Fox News:

Just yesterday, Gov. Walz delivered an address in which he referred to ICE as the bad guys and urged Minnesotans to go after them.
Specifically, he called for citizens to carry their phones around to film ICE and “create a database of the atrocities against Minnesotans” as evidence “for future prosecution.”
Watch this:
President Trump was indicted for telling his supporters to march peacefully to the Capitol.
Here’s Tim Walz giving orders to his supporters to go after ICE agents and gather evidence against them and they literally did it a few hours later

That same day, Mayor Jacob Frey called for Minneapolis police to fight ICE agents.
See for yourself:
WOW! Minneapolis’ pro-Somali Police Chief looks absolutely STUNNED as Mayor Jacob Frey straight up demands residents and cops FIGHT ICE agents in the streets!
Jacob Frey is a TRAITOR.

These types of statements made by Walz and Frey are the basis of the DOJ’s probe into an alleged conspiracy to impede ICE agents.
CBS News has more details on the investigation:
The Justice Department is investigating Minnesota officials, including Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, over an alleged conspiracy to impede federal immigration agents, an extraordinary escalation in the Trump administration’s clash with Democratic leaders there, multiple sources familiar with the matter told CBS News.
One of the sources, a U.S. official, said the investigation stems from statements that Walz and Frey have made about the thousands of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers and Border Patrol agents deployed to the Minneapolis region in recent weeks.
Subpoenas are likely to be issued in the probe, sources familiar with the matter told CBS News.
Gov. Tim Walz is not taking the news of his potential indictment well…
Read his response on X here:
Two days ago it was Elissa Slotkin. Last week it was Jerome Powell. Before that, Mark Kelly. Weaponizing the justice system against your opponents is an authoritarian tactic.
The only person not being investigated for the shooting of Renee Good is the federal agent who shot her. https://t.co/MfgwSjDFwh

Jacob Frey also released a statement:
This is an obvious attempt to intimidate me for standing up for Minneapolis, local law enforcement, and residents against the chaos and danger this Administration has brought to our city. I will not be intimidated. My focus remains where it’s always been: keeping our city safe. https://t.co/psaWb825sL

What do you think?
Should Gov. Walz and Mayor Frey get prison time for impeding ICE?
