An active shooter has been reported at Fort Cavazos (formerly known as Fort Hood).

The Fort Cavazos Garrison Command Public Affairs has reported that the military installation is in full lockdown due to an active shooter.

A video of a loudspeaker at Fort Cavazos annoucing the active shooting event was upaloded to X.

An Army parade had been taking place nearby at Fort Cavazos in honor of the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary.

Fort Cavazos Garrison Command Public Affairs confirmed to News 10 of an alleged active shooter on post and that the post is currently on lockdown.

According to the Fort Cavazos Directorate of Emergency Services, authorities are responding to an incident at BLORA and are asking the public to avoid the area until further notice.
