An avalanche of revelations has come to us recently about Old Joe Biden’s cognitive decline and abject unfitness to hold the office of president. In a classic display of the establishment media’s dishonesty and self-serving hypocrisy, these revelations have come from the same leftist “journalists” who spent four years covering it all up. Amid it all, Old Joe himself surfaced on Friday, and appeared to give the lie to all the claims that he is deep in the throes of dementia. The former figurehead gave a speech, reading from his teleprompter with general competence, and even more impressively, had an off-the-cuff chat with a gang of reporters, in which he actually seemed able to string together a coherent sentence.

What’s going on here? Are Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson, two of those who have recently revealed just how out of it Old Joe really was during his presidency, lying about how advanced his dementia really was? Biden himself strongly implied as much when he was asked: “And there’s also been a lot of, uh, discussion recently about your mental — mental and physical capabilities while you were in office,” and answered with acid sarcasm: “You can see that. I’m mentally incompetent, I can’t walk, and I can beat the hell out of both of them.”

It was a fine show, but if there was any lesson of this superannuated corruptocrat’s five and a half decades in Washington, it was that everything he does is calculated. On the same day that Biden reappeared, Fox’s Sean Hannity asked Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) about the growing evidence that Biden was severely cognitively impaired during the four years of his misrule. “Am I overstating it,” Hannity asked Hawley, “when I say this is the biggest White House presidential scandal in history?”

Hawley responded: “No, I don’t think so, Sean. Listen, I’ll tell you something that, uh, I haven’t said before, ’cause it came from a Secret Service whistleblower this past year. I talked to so many of them after the attempted assassinations of President Trump. But this Secret Service whistleblower actually was assigned to Biden, and he told me that Biden used to get lost in his closet in the mornings in the White House. I mean, the guy literally stumbling around in the White House residence, couldn’t find his way out of his own closet. The president of the United States. I mean, this is outrageous. We were lied to.”

President Trump has likewise called attention repeatedly to the fact that much of what Biden signed was actually signed by autopen, and that no one knows whether or not Biden even knew what was being affixed with his signature. On May 17, Trump wrote: “Whoever had control of the ‘AUTOPEN’ is looking to be a bigger and bigger scandal by the moment.” Two months before that, Trump charged that Biden’s pardons were null and void because he had not actually signed them:

The “Pardons” that Sleepy Joe Biden gave to the Unselect Committee of Political Thugs, and many others, are hereby declared VOID, VACANT, AND OF NO FURTHER FORCE OR EFFECT, because of the fact that they were done by Autopen. In other words, Joe Biden did not sign them but, more importantly, he did not know anything about them! The necessary Pardoning Documents were not explained to, or approved by, Biden. He knew nothing about them, and the people that did may have committed a crime. Therefore, those on the Unselect Committee, who destroyed and deleted ALL evidence obtained during their two year Witch Hunt of me, and many other innocent people, should fully understand that they are subject to investigation at the highest level. The fact is, they were probably responsible for the Documents that were signed on their behalf without the knowledge or consent of the Worst President in the History of our Country, Crooked Joe Biden!

So when Biden resurfaced on Friday and actually appeared coherent, he was attempting to give the lie to the whole dementia narrative, and take the wind out of the sails of any movement to discredit his administration and reverse its acts. One coherent appearance, however, doesn’t even come close to contradicting all the testimony regarding Biden’s cognitive impairment. Biden’s coherence on Friday could have come from a cocktail of drugs, or been one of the short periods of lucidity that even people with advanced dementia sometimes experience. It proves nothing.

Biden’s appearance was, however, intended to halt any efforts to reverse his pardons, and that fact makes it clear that we will be seeing more of Lucid Old Joe whenever it becomes possible to present him to a willingly credulous media.
