Daily Wire hosts Ben Shapiro and Matt Walsh will attend President Donald Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday night as guests of House Speaker Mike Johnson, who called the pair “pillars of the conservative movement.”

Shapiro and Walsh will join Johnson to hear Trump review his non-stop first month in office in a speech that is expected to focus on the economy, the southern border, and commitment to pursuing peace abroad. Trump has promised to “tell it like it is” during his speech, which is titled “Renewal of the American Dream.”

Johnson praised both Shapiro and Walsh for their work to fight against radical leftist ideology.

“I’m grateful to host Daily Wire culture warriors Ben Shapiro and Matt Walsh as my guests for Tuesday’s address,” he told The Daily Wire. “As pillars of the conservative movement, both have been instrumental in confronting the failed ideologies of the left and advancing our commonsense, conservative principles.”

The speaker credited both hosts with helping to move public opinion through their platforms.

“Their crusades against radical gender ideology, antisemitism on college campuses, and the radical policies of the Democrat Party have been essential in shifting public opinion. We are honored to welcome them to the Capitol for President Trump’s historic return to Congress,” Johnson said.

Walsh and Shapiro will join Daily Wire co-founder Jeremy Boreing and hosts Michael Knowles and Andrew Klavan to appear on a Daily Wire “Backstage” show at 8:30 p.m. EST before Trump’s speech begins and will give their live reaction after he concludes.

Walsh previously met with Johnson after speaking outside a rally at the Supreme Court in December ahead of oral arguments in a suit challenging Tennessee’s law protecting children from irreversible transgender procedures.

“Had a chance to meet with Speaker Johnson yesterday after the rally,” Walsh posted on Instagram at the time. “There’s a lot that the incoming congress can do to protect children from the trans agenda. I’m optimistic that they will act. A real sea change happening right now.”

Other guests of Johnson include Trump’s border czar Tom Homan, Commonwealth LNG Chair Ben Dell, and former Hamas hostage Noa Argamani. Olivia Hayes, whose husband was allegedly killed by a drunk-driving illegal immigrant, will also be in attendance.
