Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has some explaining to do.

Mike Pompeo was recently spotted in Ukraine alongside Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina.

However, the timing of the visit is quite concerning, considering that shortly after Pompeo visited, Ukraine launched a massive attack against Russia.

Check out what Mike Benz noted:

Mark Lynch, who is running against Senator Lindsey Graham, had similar thoughts:

Conservative influencer Clint Russell believes that if Pompeo and Graham discussed attack plans without Trump’s approval, then they should be tried for treason.

Pompeo’s actions may have been a clear violation of the Logan Act.

Read for yourself:

18 U.S.C. § 953 — Private correspondence with foreign governments

Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent:

to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof,in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

This section shall not abridge the right of a citizen to apply himself, or his agent, to any foreign government or the agents thereof for redress of any injury which he may have sustained from such government or any of its agents or subjects.

So, Mike Pompeo is a U.S. citizen who went to Ukraine to meet with government officials to influence them without approval from the U.S. government (Trump has not signaled he sent Pompeo).

So, by definition, he clearly violated the Logan Act.

Pompeo knows all about the Logan Act, too.

Here’s him berating John Kerry for meeting up with officials in Iran back in 2018:

Will we see Pompeo prosecuted?
