The AI worker replacement fight is not a temporary policy dispute or a single executive order battle. Joe Allen tells the WarRoom Posse this fight will not end in our lifetimes and likely not in the next generation’s either. Even without federal action, the push toward artificial general intelligence would continue. What has changed is that the front has now moved to federal regulation, making the stakes higher and the consequences more permanent.

JOE ALLEN: Well, Steve, I want the Posse to know that the fight obviously is not over. In fact, the fight will not be over in our lifetimes or probably the next generation’s lifetimes. Even if the EO had not been signed, the fight would go on. But given the situation where the front now extends to federal regulation, that seems to be the focus.

Sacks made some concessions. One of the important ones is that this is not a total moratorium on state laws, so anyone driving for state laws should continue. The bigger thing I want the WarRoom posse to think about, though, based on what we saw in those clips, is the big picture.

What is the objective of the companies that people like David Sacks and Ted Cruz are running cover for? What is this supreme intelligence that the president is talking about? These companies are driving toward artificial general intelligence. And whether you believe that is possible or not, what it shows is they are willing to create something that would replace every worker on earth.

Whatever percentage of that objective they achieve, it will be a net negative for any working American or any worker across the world. So what are we fighting against? We are fighting against people who do not care about your well being, except to use you for training data or to treat you as a pet after their singularity. These are people who actively want to replace you. They want to mine your data, replicate you in silico, and replace you.

These are the people we are fighting against, and we will fight against them for the rest of our lives.
