Merrick Garland has not been our best attorney general, picking up where Eric “Wingman” Holder left off in the political weaponization of the office, sneering at congressional oversight, and presiding over the FBI’s targeting of Catholics, pro-lifers, concerned parents, and of course, Trump supporters. But we could do worse. Imagine if Joe Biden were AG.

In private, Biden has [groused that] he should have picked someone other than Merrick Garland as attorney general, complaining about the Justice Department’s slowness under Garland in prosecuting Trump, and its aggressiveness in prosecuting Biden’s son Hunter…

That’s what he gets for making appointments out of spite:

The Post omits one of the other reasons Garland was picked: he had been blocked from confirmation to the Supreme Court by Republicans in 2016, and his appointment was seen as a consolation prize, as well as a strike at the GOP.

The politically motivated prosecution of Donald Trump is a stain on the USA’s history. The Big Guy’s bagman Hunter is another.

No matter how slimy the other swamp creatures may be, Joe Biden is slimier.
