It is less than four days until election day in the District 7 Congressional race in Tennessee. The GOP must keep this seat. Aftyn Behn, tagged the AOC of Tennessee, must be defeated by Matt Van Epps, who comes off as the choir boy of Tennessee. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but it’s harder to get the likes and clicks. The Tennessee state party is a little on the feckless side which is not helpful. We have got to get the turnout. Turnout is KING.
Turnout is the only poll that matters and the spread isn’t wide enough for comfort, according to Newsweek:
The Republican Party is likely to win the Tennessee special election, though perhaps by a tighter margin than initially expected, according to latest polls.
Aftyn Behn, a state legislator, is standing against Republican Matt Van Epps to fill a seat left vacant by former Representative Mark Greene, who resigned from the House earlier this year.
On paper, Mark Greene was a choir boy. IRL, not so much. Because Republicans are the good guys, that hurts us all. Maybe, Matt Van Epps most of all. More:
Polls, betting odds and political analysis indicate Van Epps will likely win the seat but there have been signs that support for Behn is growing.
“Public polling in a low-turnout special election around the Holidays is unreliable and inaccurate,” a Van Epps spokesperson told Newsweek. “What is clear: there are more Republicans than Democrats in this district and all efforts remain focused on reaching, motivating, and turning out Republicans to vote today or on Tuesday, December 2nd. The smaller number of Democrats in this district are intensely fired up, but as more Republicans tune in and understand the stakes of the race and the craziness of the Democrat nominee, momentum has shifted toward Trump-endorsed Matt Van Epps. He will win on Tuesday, December 2nd.”
Let us pray that Matt Van Epps wins the 7th District Congressional Seat and holds it for the GOP. I am not sure what the turnout game looks like in Middle Tennessee. But indications are not promising.
Good move.
The fact TN Rep. can’t even get proper turnout in a Trump +22 seat (despite Aftyn Behn (@aftynfortn) unhinge views) is just pathetic.#Elections2025 #SpecialElection #USA #Congress #Tennessee https://t.co/EmfuEwsvH7— The Political Demon (@PoliticalDeamon) November 28, 2025
Back in October, my wonderful Congressman, Tim Burchett sent out an urgent X post:
Wake up and support @MattForTN https://t.co/Sc8eDP5SHd

Aftyn Behn is a fruit cake of sad and frightening ideas. And, as someone who grew up in theater, a twelve year old girl would do a better job than this performance:
BREAKING: A resurfaced video of Aftyn Behn, now a Tennessee Democrat candidate for the 7th Congressional District, is going viral. It shows her storming Governor Lee’s office, being physically removed by officers, and screaming uncontrollably. pic.twitter.com/JeW8TdliA3

Too performative. Yes, this was 2019, but I don’t think she has matured much since then. More recently, here is Aftyn Behn and her “girl squad” bragging about bullying “THP” and “ICE”.
This is Nashville State Representative Aftyn Behn.
She just posted a 15-minute video of her and a friend stalking the Tennessee Highway Patrol as they carried out official duties—openly admitting they were trying to stall law enforcement from stopping illegal aliens.

Really? Really? If the GOP cannot beat this vegetated, little brain we should give up. Did you see her piece on grocery prices and affordability? Has she ever talked to anyone in the grocery business? Does she have any idea what the profit margins are in the grocery marketing business? Hint: Just barely 2%.
This child has no clue how life works and trying to win a job because she wants to tell you how to run your life.
Aftyn Behn is projecting the arrogance of the young and foolish. Or, she has seen the other tabs for the polls. Yikes! From MSNow:
Van Epps has received the endorsement of President Trump and, this week, Trump ally celebrity Kid Rock, who owns a bar and restaurant in Nashville.
In addition to the Kid Rock endorsement, Trump and House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) announced that they will host a tele-rally Monday night to support Van Epps’s campaign.
As seen below on CNN, Behn was asked if she saw the tele-rally as a positive or negative for her campaign. Behn replied: “I think it means they’re desperate.”
She added, “I see their tele-rally and raise them 10,000 doors of Republicans we’re gonna knock this weekend.”
Oh Aftyn! The Vanderbilt at U.T. Knoxville game starts at 3:30 E.T./2:30 C.T.. Do you think anyone wants your doorknockers today? Weather is gonna get angry starting tomorrow.
I hope Matt Van Epps wins. We need it. No. I pray he wins. The GOP is feckless, but Aftyn is stupid.
Turn out. Turn out. Turn out. The only poll that counts.
Go Vols! Beat the Commodores! GBO!
