A Texas Democrat lawmaker has been exposed for following several porn stars, prostitutes and OnlyFans models on his Instagram page.
James Talarico, 36, who is a seminarian and state House member, was found to have followed several X-rated accounts in a report by Axios.
The four-term state representative, who is running for US Senate, is a Presbyterian seminarian who has made his Christian faith a key aspect of his political aspirations.
Talarico follows about 3,700 users on Instagram, including a handful of women who share explicit or suggestive content while linking to adult-oriented websites.
The report said that earlier this year he had actively liked multiple photos of an Austin Instagram account holder who has an OnlyFans and a page on an escort website.
He also follows Instagram accounts of adult film actors including adult actress Giselle Palmer, who goes by the name ‘honky tonk angel’ online.
His spokesperson, JT Ennis, explained why the Texas Democrat followed the women and said that Talarico was not the only person using the account.
‘The social media team – including James – follows back and engages with supporters who have large followings and does not investigate their backgrounds,’ Ennis said in a statement to Axios.

He added: ‘James has never subscribed to OnlyFans or an escort service.
‘While James was unaware of how these women make money, he does not judge them for it and will not play into an effort to smear them for clickbait articles. That’s exactly what his Christian faith calls him to do.’
Talarico had liked photos from a user with a profile on an escorting website branded the ‘#1 content management system in the escort industry’, Axios reported.
As of Saturday night, he followed users including adult actress Giselle Palmer, known on social media as @honky_tonkangel.
The New York Post also revealed that his account had a back and forth with OnlyFans model Alice Greczyn after she tagged him in a story.

Talarico’s campaign said he had only exchanged one message with one of the Instagram women in question, which was a brief ‘thank you’ after she tagged him in a story seemingly promoting his campaign.
Earlier this year, Talarico was praised by former US president Barack Obama as a ‘terrific’ and ‘really talented young man.’
Talarico also earned the praise of Joe Rogan, who urged the liberal lawmaker to one day run for president because ‘we need someone who is actually a good person.’

The Texas Democrat is a former teacher who joined his state’s legislature in 2018 when he was 28.
He often receives millions of views on his Instagram clips, which he uses to share his speeches.
Talarico is known as a devoutly religious lawmaker who has repeatedly railed against the rise of ‘Christian nationalism’ in the US.
