Democrats cut off SNAP benefits by filibustering a clean resolution to continue government funding, evidently in hopes of provoking food riots that the media will mendaciously blame on Republicans. The problem is that Democrats (and RINOs like George W. Bush, who expanded SNAP) have gotten over 12% of the population hooked on free food. The solution is to replace EBT cards with Nutraloaf:

“The point of EBT is to ensure people don’t starve to death. That’s it. Even if we agree that’s a worthwhile goal, it can be achieved with Nutraloaf,” wrote Diane Yap, founder of the Friends of Lowell Foundation, a nonprofit formed to defend academic merit-based admissions at a top-ranked San Francisco high school.

Nutraloaf a.k.a. “prison loaf” doesn’t taste very good, unlike the junk food purchased with EBT cards. But it will keep people going while they seek gainful employment. When it has replaced the bonanza of junk that is purchased with SNAP, people will become less reliant on food paid for by someone else on coercive basis. This will make it harder for Democrats to use food as a weapon in their strongarm tactics.

Moonbats predictably denounce Diane Yap as “a horrible person” and a “soulless ghoul.” The Democrat base is not just entitled to free food. It is entitled to free food of its choice.

The point of EBT is to ensure people don’t starve to death. That’s it. Even if we agree that’s a worthwhile goal, it can be achieved with Nutraloaf.
