President Trump is expected to attend the New York Yankees game on Thursday, September 11th.

“The New York Yankees and the White House today announced that President Donald J. Trump is scheduled to attend the Yankees-Tigers game on Thursday, September 11 at Yankee Stadium. Pregame ceremonies will recognize the victims and heroes of 9/11,” the team announced.

“Ticketed guests are strongly urged to arrive as early as possible and should budget extra time for entry due to enhanced security measures at all Yankee Stadium gates and entrances,” it added.

CBS News provided further info:

Ticketholders should expect enhanced security measures when arriving at Yankee Stadium.

Gates will open at 4 p.m., and fans are encouraged to arrive as early as possible. Street closures and limited parking are also expected, so fans are urged to use mass transit.

Fans will be limited to one “clutch-type” bag no bigger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches. No bags larger than that will be allowed inside. Ticketholders are encouraged to try to limit what they bring into the stadium to whatever fits in their pockets.

All bags and personal items will be inspected.

Bottles, cans and reusable water bottles will not be allowed in Yankee Stadium, nor will any liquids.

Guests cannot bring laptops or tablets into the stadium.

The Yankees say some areas inside and outside the stadium may become restricted before, during or after the game.

“MANY families of fallen first responders will be there with him,” journalist Nick Sortor commented.

The New York Post reported last week:

President Trump will be heading to The Bronx to take in a Yankees game on the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks, sources familiar with the arrangements exclusively told The Post.

Vice President JD Vance will represent the administration at a commemoration ceremony at Ground Zero in Lower Manhattan, with Trump scheduled to attend a memorial event at the Pentagon in northern Virginia, the sources said.

Later in the day, Trump will travel to the city of his birth and attend the 7:05 p.m. matchup between the Yankees and Detroit Tigers, in a meeting of two of the top teams in the American League.
