It was another example of putting short-term political gains ahead of long-term national security concerns. National security concerns like the ones we are about to have.

As most everyone has heard by now, Trump has finally played his hand in responding to the problem of a nuclear Iran. What’s left of their program is now buried under a mountain.

In Trump’s own words as posted on his Truth Social timeline:

Three bombers hit Iran’s nuclear sites with the bunker-buster bombs we’ve all been talking about. They apparently did their job correctly, with the damage to the targets being described as ‘monumental’ in another post.

Trump and Hegseth have both addressed the nation about the mission, that it has been considered a success, and that it has no follow-up operations planned… so long as Iran does not escalate the situation further.

(And did we mention that he said he knows where the Ayatollah is hiding, but they have specifically said they had no intention of targeting him personally, at this time.)

Some of his social media posts about Iran will be talked about for years, if not longer. But that theocracy is holding on by a thread, and looking weak in the face of the Great Satan himself might be enough for the disaffected Persian locals to (once again) attempt to overthrow their overlords, they had little choice but to play the tough guy.

Aside from badly-done AI showing that they had ‘downed’ the B-2 Bombers (just like the video game footage showing they had ‘downed’ some jets from the Israeli air force, Iran has announced it will close the Strait of Hormuz… which would effectively keep a large percentage of the world’s oil from going to market.

There are a few ways such a threat could play out, ranging from a prolonged blockade to an overwhelming military response from one or more other parties preventing Iran from making good on that threat.

But how does BIDEN fit into this story?

You might think we mean the fact that Joe was complicit in putting Iranian spies in place at the highest levels of classified operations involving our ongoing operations with Iran. Or that his border policy made it easy for terrorists, anti-American agitators, and saboteurs to find their way across his Open Borders.

That is both true and relevant to this situation. But it is not the short-term gain at the expense of national security that was being directly referenced at the top of this article.

Remember when the skyrocketing inflation and gas prices were immortalized with the ‘I did that’ sticker that was being slapped on every gas pump across the country? An election was coming and he had to ‘do something’ to fix the problem.

Since cutting the costs directly by turning his back on the green movement to which he had sold his soul was not an option, he had to give the electorate a head-fake to pretend he was delivering on those promised. Thanks to heavy air-support from the corrupt media and politically friendly economists the head-fake kinda worked.

He opened the strategic reserve, artificially flooding the markets with less expensive energy. For anyone paying only a little attention, it made him look like he was ‘dealing with’ the problem.

Like everything else, it came at a price. Biden’s sleight of hand came at the expense of draining nearly 50% of the strategic oil reserve to leave us at historic lows. It got so bad that the House GOP passed a bill to prohibit him from draining it further.

Contrast that to Trump seizing on record-low oil prices in the COVID years to top up our country’s strategic oil reserves.

And what, exactly, was the strategic oil reserve created for in the first place? Oh, that’s right. The energy crisis of the 1970s. It’s not as though Joe can plead ignorance on that front, either… he was a senator during that crisis and would have personally voted on its implementation.
