(NewsNation) — A woman under the pseudonym “Jane” will take the stand again Friday in the trial against Sean “Diddy” Combs after alleging she performed dayslong sexual events at the behest of the disgraced music producer.
Jane is identified as “Victim 2” in Combs’ indictment and has said she was in a relationship with him from 2021 until his arrest in 2024.
During her testimony Thursday, Jane said she participated in “hotel nights” where she engaged with male sex workers under Diddy’s instruction, similarly to ex-girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura. Ventura has called these events “Freak Offs.”
Jane said she met Combs while on a girls’ trip with a friend who was dating him at the time in 2020. She exchanged phone numbers with him after spending time on his yacht and visiting his home on Star Island off Miami, Jane told jurors.
According to Jane, she and Combs had their first date in January 2021 in Miami. She said she was “pretty head over heels.”
In May 2021, she said the relationship took a turn when Combs expressed his interest in her engaging with other men in sexual activities.
She said it “seemed like he wanted that, and it was turning him on.”
After she agreed, Jane said Combs’ personal assistants began setting up a hotel in Miami for a “Freak Off.”
She said after she participated at the hotel the first night, she felt excited, but that quickly changed as she said she did not want to have sex with other men, only Combs.
Jane said she told Combs at one point that she didn’t want to participate but that the producer responded by saying he would no longer pay her rent if she refused. By this time, Combs had been partially supporting her financially.
Jane is the second accuser to testify anonymously in the trial. Her testimony follows that of “Mia,” who is identified as “Victim 4.”
Judge Arun Subramanian ordered that the court overflow rooms and courtroom TV monitors would not display Jane’s testimony to ensure her identity remains confidential.
Subramanian ordered that no one in the press was allowed to sketch or describe Jane in any fashion that would reveal her to the public, though jurors were informed of her true name.
The decision was made after some media outlets reported the true identity of the witness who had used the pseudonym “Mia.” She testified earlier this week that Combs sexually assaulted her while she worked as his assistant.
Combs’s defense team hit a bump Thursday when the judge admonished and threatened to kick Combs out of the courtroom after he made several facial gestures towards jurors.
Subramanian said during a discussion with lawyers that he saw Combs looking at the jury and “nodding vigorously” during the cross-examination of Bryana Bongolan, a friend of Ventura.
He said Combs had been warned before about engaging with jury members.
The judge warned defense attorneys that Combs cannot engage, interact or try to interfere with the jury during witness testimony or at any point during the trial. Subramanian said future similar displays in front of the jury “could result in the exclusion of your client from the courtroom.”
Comb’s attorney Marc Agnifilo acknowledged that he understood.
Combs has been actively engaged with his attorneys throughout the trial, passing notes and whispering comments. He’s also been seen making a heart with his hands toward loved ones in the galley while entering court.
