Democrats Refuse to Stand As President Trump Honors Laken Riley

President Trump honored Laken Riley, who was violently murdered at the hands of an illegal immigrant, during his Congressional address tonight.

Riley’s mother and sister were present in the chamber as President Trump recognized their tragic loss.

“Laken was stolen from us by a savage, illegal alien gang member who was arrested while trespassing across Biden’s southern border and then sent to the United States under the heartless policies of that failed administration,” President Trump said.

President Trump recognized the mother and sister of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley, who are in attendance, and blamed the Biden administration’s policies for her death.

“Laken was stolen from us by a savage, illegal alien gang member who was arrested while trespassing across Biden’s southern border and then sent to the United States under the heartless policies of that failed administration,” Trump said.

“It was indeed a failed administration.”

Trump recounted how he signed the Laken Riley Act to ratchet up immigration enforcement against illegal immigrants who partake in theft-related crimes.

“Last year, I told Laken’s grieving parents that we would ensure their daughter would not have died in vain,” the president recounted. “That’s why the very first bill I signed into law as your 47th president mandates the detention of all dangerous criminal aliens who threaten public safety. It’s very strong.”

After President Trump finished his tribute, the Republicans in the House Chamber stood up and honored Laken Riley, alongside her grieving mother and sister.

However, the vast majority of Democrats remained seated.

It wasn’t just Laken Riley.

Democrats also refused to get out of their seats for Jocelyn Nungary, another young girl who was murdered by illegal immigrants and whose mother was in attendance.

They also disrespected the family of Corey Comperatore, who was killed by a bullet during the failed assassination attempt on President Trump’s life last summer and 13-year old cancer patient DJ Daniel.

 

This has to be one of the most heartless things I’ve ever seen.

Democrats are so full of hatred for President Trump that they refuse to let go of politics for a moment to show some respect for grieving families, many of whom lost loved ones due to their failed policies.

And this is exactly why the American people don’t stand with Democrats anymore.

Because Democrats don’t stand with the American people.
