The following article, President Trump Fires Joy Reid of MSNBC, was first published on The Black Sphere.

If President Trump’s first term was a political earthquake, his second term is shaping up to be the aftershock that flattens the entire landscape. And while the man himself is busy firing, investigating, and suing his way through the swamp, the collateral damage is piling up in the most deliciously ironic places. Namely, the media.

Yes, the same media that spent years breathlessly trying to destroy Trump is now imploding under the weight of its own irrelevance. It’s like watching a snake eat its own tail, except the snake is MSNBC, and the tail is Joy Reid’s career. Essentially, President Trump fired Joy Reid. More on her in a moment.

Let’s start with the man of the hour.

Trump’s actions are coming so fast and furious that he needs a storyboard just to keep track of them. If Taylor Sheridan, the mastermind behind Yellowstone were to script this administration, he’d probably throw up his hands and say, “Nah, this is too unbelievable.”

From firings to investigations to lawsuits, President Trump is methodically dismantling waste, fraud, and abuse across the government. Some of it is incompetence—the kind of “business as usual” that makes you wonder how anything gets done in Washington. The rest? Pure crimes. And Trump’s not just exposing them, as soon he will shift to obliterating them.

Still, while Trump is busy with his direct hits, his policies are having an indirect impact that’s even more satisfying.

Take Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, for example. Trump’s relentless pushback against DEI—a sacred cow of the Left—has sent shockwaves through institutions that once thrived on virtue signaling. And as I’ve documented in my book Race Pimping,  nowhere is this more evident than in the media, where DEI has long been used as a shield to deflect criticism and justify mediocrity.

Enter MSNBC, the network that’s currently in the middle of a full-blown identity crisis. According to AOL, the NBCUniversal-backed cable network is shuffling its lineup. They like a desperate gambler trying to recoup his losses. Symone Sanders-Townsend, Alicia Menendez, and Michael Steele are being moved to the 7 p.m. slot, which is basically cable news Siberia. Joy Reid, the self-appointed queen of race-baiting, is out. Alex Wagner, once a staple of the 9 p.m. slot, is being demoted to contributor status. And Jen Psaki, fresh off her stint as Biden’s press secretary, is stepping in to fill the void.

Let’s pause for a moment to appreciate the irony here. Joy Reid, a prime example of what I’ve dubbed “race pimping” in my book Race Pimping, is finally getting her comeuppance. For years, Reid has built her career on stoking racial divisions and peddling grievance politics, embodying the very phenomenon I critique in my work. Race Pimping exposes how race-baiting has replaced meritocracy in modern discourse, and Reid’s career is a case study in this toxic trend. But now, as Trump’s policies take a chainsaw to the DEI-industrial complex, Reid’s brand of divisive rhetoric is losing its appeal. It’s almost poetic: the man she spent years vilifying is indirectly responsible for her downfall.

And it’s not just Reid.

The entire media ecosystem that once thrived on Trump-bashing is now struggling to stay afloat. MSNBC’s lineup changes are a symptom of a larger problem: the Left’s narrative is collapsing under its own weight. Trump didn’t even have to lift a finger to make it happen. His policies—particularly his pushback against DEI—have exposed the emptiness of the media’s virtue-signaling. And as the ratings drop and the layoffs mount, the irony is impossible to ignore.

But let’s not forget the bigger picture here. Trump’s impact isn’t just about settling scores or humiliating his enemies. It’s about restoring accountability to institutions that have long been immune to it. Whether it’s firing incompetent bureaucrats, launching investigations into corruption, or filing lawsuits against fraudsters, Trump is methodically cleaning house. And in the process, he’s exposing the rot that’s been festering in our government—and our media—for decades.

The media, of course, will never admit this.

They’ll blame their struggles on “changing viewer habits” or “the rise of social media.” And while the media environment has changed, the truth is, their downfall is also a result of their own hubris. They spent years trying to destroy Trump, only to discover that they were the ones who were vulnerable all along.

So, what’s next? More firings. More investigations. More lawsuits. And, of course, more media meltdowns. Because when Trump’s winning, the Left is losing. And when the Left is losing, it’s a beautiful thing to watch.

In the end, Trump’s second term isn’t just a political event—it’s a cultural reckoning. It’s a reminder that accountability always wins, even if it takes a while to get there. And for those of us who’ve been watching this saga unfold, it’s a satisfying reminder that irony is alive and well.

So, here’s to Trump’s sweet revenge—a revenge he didn’t even seek, but one that’s unfolding perfectly all the same. And here’s to the media, whose downfall is a cautionary tale in the dangers of overplaying your hand.

As for Joy Reid? Two words: good riddance.
