President-elect Donald Trump promised to end “transgender lunacy” on the first day of his administration through a series of executive actions.

Trump made the promise on Sunday in a keynote speech at Turning Point USA’s America Fest conference in Phoenix, Arizona. The president-elect, due to take office on January 20, promised action on “day one” to protect women’s spaces and recognize the biological fact of two genders.

“With a stroke of my pen on day one, we are going to stop the transgender lunacy,” Trump said to loud cheers from the audience. “And I will sign executive orders to end child sexual mutilation, get trangender out of the military and out of our elementary schools and middle schools and high schools.”

“And we will keep men out of women’s sports. And that will likewise be done on day one. Shall I do day one, day two, or day three? How about day one, right?” he continued. “Under the Trump administration, it will be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders: male and female.”

Trump promised to start work immediately upon taking office next year. Elsewhere in his speech, he said his administration will be “fully operational” within a matter of hours of him taking office.

“We are going to be fully operational, I would say, by about two o’clock on the 20th,” Trump said. The president-elect is expected to be sworn in as the 47th U.S. president around noon on January 20.

“For those of us standing before you today, I can proudly proclaim that the golden age of America is upon us,” Trump stated.

Her stance on trans-identifying individuals was one of the most detrimental positions for the Democratic candidate in 2024, Vice President Kamala Harris. The Trump campaign bet big on pushing back against transgenderism during the race, spending roughly 20% of its ad budget on spots hitting Harris and the Democratic Party for destroying women’s spaces and pushing radical procedures on confused children.
