The following article, Elon Musk: Trump’s ‘First Buddy’ and Democrats’ New Boogeyman, was first published on The Black Sphere.
Democrats love to talk about democracy—until they don’t get their way. And President Trump’s “First Buddy” Elon Musk’s attempt to restore America to what Democrats think is a “democracy” frustrates the hell out of them.
House Minority Whip Katherine Clark on the looming government shutdown:
“And what for? Because Elon Musk, an unelected man, said we’re not doing this deal and Donald Trump followed along.”

The billionaire inventor, entrepreneur, and all-around disruptor has transformed multiple industries, and is the Da Vinci of our time…on steroids. He innovates everything he touches. Yet Democrats treat the man like he’s a homeless vet. Moreover, they consider the tech version of Voldemort a shadow president.
But Americans don’t care. A recent tweet sums it up perfectly:
“Dear elected representatives, You’ve spent the last few decades scared shitless of George Soros and his funding. I have news for you. Elon Musk has George’s entire net worth in his couch cushions, is half his age, and ten times smarter. There’s a new sheriff in town.”
The Left vs. Musk: A Comedy in Three Acts
Act I: The Obsession Begins
It wasn’t that long ago that Elon Musk was the darling of the Left. The man built Tesla, the holy grail of electric cars, and SpaceX, which promised to make Mars colonization a reality. Democrats practically lined up to canonize him as a patron saint of progress. But then, horror of horrors, Musk started thinking independently.
First came the political donations that didn’t align with their agenda. Then he committed the ultimate sin: buying Twitter. Musk opened Pandora’s box by restoring accounts previously silenced by the Left’s cancel culture and shining a light on government collusion with Big Tech. That’s when Democrats flipped faster than a pancake at a Waffle House.

Act II: “President Musk” Becomes a Thing
In their attempts to demonize Musk, Democrats have inadvertently given him the title of “President Musk.” The irony is delicious. Apparently, they think calling him “Mr. President” will either shame him into submission or somehow unnerve Trump. Neither scenario is happening.
Here’s a list of Democrats who’ve made these snide references:
- Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA): “Elon Musk is acting like he was elected president. Newsflash: He wasn’t.”
- Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY): “Musk is running Twitter like he thinks he’s president of the world.”
- Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT): “I don’t care how rich Musk is. This isn’t a monarchy.”
What’s laughable is the hypocrisy. These same people fawned over unelected bureaucrats like Anthony Fauci and even Kamala Harris, who got fewer votes in the primaries than a write-in campaign for Mickey Mouse. But now, suddenly, they care about electoral legitimacy?
Act III: Elon Joins the MAGA Revolution
Musk’s apparent alignment with MAGA values has sent the Left into full meltdown mode. Why? Because he’s not just tweeting about politics—he’s actively dismantling their narratives. Take the recent continuing resolution (CR), for example.
Musk slammed the 1,547-page monstrosity, calling out its pork-barrel spending, woke language, and giveaways to Ukraine while Americans get crumbs. Democrats, of course, were livid. They accused Musk of overstepping his bounds. “Elon Musk didn’t get any votes!” they cried.
The best retort? “Neither did Kamala Harris!” Let’s not forget that Fauci, another unelected figure, essentially ran the country for two years. But when Musk uses his platform to challenge government overreach, it’s suddenly a crisis.
The Musk-Soros Comparison
The tweet that started this rant nailed it: Musk is Soros 2.0 but better in every way. He’s younger, richer, smarter, and doesn’t need a shadowy network of NGOs to wield influence. Musk’s power comes from his ingenuity and willingness to say the quiet part out loud.
If Musk were a Democrat, he’d already have seven Nobel Prizes, a ticker-tape parade in his honor, and an honorary chair at Davos. Instead, he’s vilified because he refuses to toe the line.
Musk’s Ultimate Crime
What truly enrages the Left is Musk’s refusal to play by their rules. He’s killing sacred cows left and right:
- He exposed Twitter’s bias, turning it into a platform where free speech actually happens.
- He questioned vaccine mandates and gain-of-function research.
- He’s taking a sledgehammer to the climate of censorship that Democrats thrive on.
Musk’s latest moves, like axing the woke language in the CR and advocating for accountability in Congress, are proof that he’s more aligned with everyday Americans than the elites who claim to represent them.
Ask yourself who would disagree with having an innovator like Musk take a look at the most dysfunctional organization on the planet: the American government? If Musk can help Trump do for government what he has done for electric vehicles, space travel, satellite communication systems, bioengineering, and so on, why wouldn’t you want that? Musk’s ideas don’t just shape industries, but alter cultural and political landscapes.
So, the next time a Democrat whines about Elon Musk’s power, just remind them: this is the democracy they wanted. They just didn’t expect it to come with a side of accountability and innovation.
