What a sad little gnome George Stephanopoulos is these days. How DARE ABC settle with Donald Trump and hand him $16 million dollars!
All of this started with the asinine E. Jean Carroll rape case. I tell you, that woman is a piece of work. That said, the jury specifically found that Donald Trump did NOT rape Carroll. Yet good ole George, meticulous as he is, decided to insist that Donald Trump was found guilty of rape. He did so not once, but multiple times during an interview with Nancy Mace. Yet, after that interview, even Mika & Joe only said Trump was found liable for sexual abuse.
But George persisted in his claims. And Donald Trump was having NONE of it and filed suit for defamation. It doesn’t matter that the judge, two months after the fact, tried to judgesplain the jury’s verdict. The fact of the matter is, Trump was NOT found guilty of rape.
Yet George persisted. And thus, a lawsuit was filed. Of course, all the usual suspects in the media gleefully stated this lawsuit would go nowhere. And then, unexpectedly, there was a settlement! A YUGE one. SIXTEEN MILLION $$ in fact! $15 million of which is a direct donation for the future Trump Presidential Library.

Believe me, I’m there for it! I cannot wait for the Fake News wing of the Presidential Library…they might need two given how the media is rolling these days.
I will tell you this, the so-called apology that ABC News issued was tepid at best. One might say that it was totally phoned in.
Wasn’t sad little gnome George supposed to issue an apology? If he did, I haven’t seen it yet. What we do know now is that George is all kinds of pissed off that he has to bend a knee and that ABC/Disney caved to the ORANGEMANBAD dude.
They are making ME apologize??!!
ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos is “apoplectic” and “humiliated” by the network’s decision to pay $16 million to settle a defamation lawsuit brought by President-elect Donald Trump, The Post has learned.
Stephanopoulos, who claimed Trump had raped E. Jean Carroll during an interview with Republican lawmaker Nancy Mace, was particularly upset about being forced to apologize, a source with knowledge of the situation said.
In other words, it doesn’t matter the jury verdict, George knows the truth of the matter and he persisted multiple times in categorically stating that Donald Trump was found guilty of rape, when in fact, he was not.
“The problem with Stephanopoulos’ question of Nancy Mace was that Stephanopoulos said 10 times, on 10 separate occasions, Donald Trump was found ‘liable for rape’ in the E. Jean Carroll case. He specifically said that the jury found Trump ‘liable for rape’ – now that’s important. In fact, the jury specifically found Trump not liable for rape,” York told Fox News Digital.
“Now, it did find him liable for ‘sexual abuse,’ so this is not an exoneration,” York, who has written extensively about the E. Jean Carroll case, continued. “But, it’s just a fact that the court asked the jury, ‘Do you think Miss Carroll proved by preponderance of the evidence that Donald Trump raped her?’ And they said, ‘No.’”
Indeed, the federal jury in New York decided that Trump was not liable for rape but was liable for sexual abuse and defamation in 2023. Despite this, York noted that Stephanopoulos said “over and over and over again that Trump was liable for rape,” which is not accurate.
Meanwhile, others in the media are running cover for George since he nuked all his social media accounts. Chuck Todd is just beside himself over this verdict.

You mean to tell me that someone repeating false information as fact, TEN TIMES in a single interview no less, shouldn’t be held accountable? The media is above it all is the implication here.
The question is, how in the world did George Stephanopoulos fall from grace so fast and furiously? Look at who the sad little gnome has hitched his wagon too all these years. Start with Bill Clinton and go from there.
That said, George was one of the guys who was teflon. Until he wasn’t.
Several executives describe him as among the smartest broadcasters they’ve worked with. He largely shed his partisan past as President Bill Clinton’s former top communications aide to emerge as a national news anchor cast consciously in the mold of Peter Jennings, Ted Koppel, and David Brinkley; a voice of moral authority, intellectual integrity and establishment consensus.
So how has Stephanopoulos now cost his employer ABC News $15 million in damages and $1 million in legal fees after inaccurately describing Donald Trump as a rapist on-air during an interview in March?
I’m so laughing at the idea that George “shed his partisan past.” It’s been GLARINGLY apparent from the time that Donald Trump declared for office in 2015 that A. Trump broke George’s brain and B. George has made it quite clear whom he favors in this country and their party affiliation starts and ends with the letter D.
The media can clutch all the pearls they want. The verdict stands and their narrative took a gigantic hit in the gnads.
Maybe George needs to cheerios to cry in while he reluctantly writes an apology. Such a sad little gnome he is!
