Boris Johnson, a British politician, recently made a funny about Muslim broads who sport burkas. Naturally, the PC butt-dumplings over in the UK went batsh*t over the joke. In stepped Mr. Bean himself to save the day.
Boris Johnson has been defended by comedian Rowan Atkinson following his recent comments about burkas.
The actor, best known for playing Mr Bean and Blackadder, described the remarks as funny.
The Uxbridge MP compared women who wear the burka to “bank robbers” and questioned why they would “go around looking like letter boxes”.
Atkinson wrote to The Times, saying: “As a lifelong beneficiary of the freedom to make jokes about religion, I do think that Boris Johnson’s joke about wearers of the burka resembling letterboxes is a pretty good one.
“All jokes about religion cause offence, so it’s pointless apologising for them.
“You should really only apologise for a bad joke. On that basis, no apology is required.”
It’s good to know there are still peeps across the pond who know and respect the value of speech that is free. Rowan Atkinson’s message to people who would like to restrict speech couldn’t be more clear.
Being a lefty must be rife with suckage. Going through life with a stick firmly lodged up your rectum has to be a living hell. Mayhaps someone can start a charity to help fund the procedures to remove the sticks.
PC leftists are trying their best to restrict what people can and can’t say. That includes the ability to dish out knee-slappers. Thankfully, we have good people like Rowan Atkinson out there who are willing to flip the bird to political correctness and take a stand for the principle of free speech.
