President Trump is examining border wall prototypes in an effort to keep America safe from criminal illegal aliens. Nancy Pelosi is going around and telling everyone that the Trump administration and ICE are trying to “terrorize innocent immigrant families.”

Stopping illegal immigration is a “terrorizing” concept now. Who knew? These are the same people who claim the NRA is a terrorist organization, so I’m not surprised. “Terrorist” is quickly becoming the new “racist.”

Nancy is on a roll. She’s now attempting to invoke Ronald Reagan, because she knows the conservative movement loves him so.

President Reagan understood that #WallsDontWork. Now, 60% of Americans don’t want to see the Trump border wall become a reality. Republicans in Congress should listen. pic.twitter.com/l6jHAQwhRa

Few things to note. Reagan amnesty occurred, but it was SUPPOSED to be two-fold. In turn, lawmakers promised to secure the border and implement additional deterrents, like punishing employers who hired illegals.

That never happened. Democrats didn’t follow through.

“It is very definitely a teachable moment,” Meese, the Ronald Reagan distinguished fellow emeritus at The Heritage Foundation, told The Daily Signal, when asked how the 1986 legislation might inform President Donald Trump in his negotiations with congressional Democrats on codifying the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), implemented by his predecessor.

The Reagan amnesty of 2.7 million illegal immigrants was paired with the promise of controlling the border and penalizing employers who hire illegal immigrants. The legislation was better known as the Simpson-Mazzoli Act, named for its sponsors, Simpson and then-Rep. Romano Mazzoli, D-Ky.

The problem with the 1986 law was that the promised enforcement didn’t occur, but the amnesty did, Meese said.

Reagan didn’t support open borders. Here’s what he said in his 1981 Statement on United States Immigration and Refugee Policy:

“…we must ensure adequate legal authority to establish control over immigration: to enable us, when sudden influxes of foreigners occur, to decide to whom we grant the status of refugee or asylee; to improve our border control; to expedite (consistent with fair procedures and our Constitution) return of those coming here illegally; to strengthen enforcement of our fair labor standards and laws; and to penalize those who would knowingly encourage violation of our laws. The steps we take to further these objectives, however, must also be consistent with our values of individual privacy and freedom.”

This is probably Pelosi’s favorite part, but pay close attention to the last sentence.

“Illegal immigrants in considerable numbers have become productive members of our society and are a basic part of our work force. Those who have established equities in the United States should be recognized and accorded legal status. At the same time, in so doing, we must not encourage illegal immigration.”

Lemme repeat that for ol’ Nance. “…we must not encourage illegal immigration.”

See Nancy? Your open borders concept kinda sorta encourages illegal immigration. And promises of “sanctuary” and “freebies” encourage more of that illegal behavior. A wall stops those ILLEGAL people who SHOULD NOT BE HERE from being here. They’re more than welcome to come here the correct way. Just not illegally. Do you follow Nancy? I know this is hard for you. (And don’t you DARE compare this to the Berlin Wall, because it’s NOT EVEN CLOSE to the same thing.)

Just shut up, Pelosi. If we didn’t want a wall, we wouldn’t have elected Trump.

How many can live in your sanctuary house Take at least 200. Then give them voting rights. But you probably have walls around it

Really? Border patrol in SanDiego just said that the wall/ scrap metal fence has lowered illegal crossings by 95%. Who advises you? Do you have a wall around your house? Why? They don’t work, right?

Nancy retire resign immediately go back into the woods

I want the wall. And I also want @NancyPelosi to be on the other side of that wall. #BuildTheWall

ILLEGAL immigration is a crime.

Nooo Nancy you’re lying again

— Scott Ruble (@mrscott304) March 13, 2018

Without a border you have no country. Foolishness rules the Democratic Party.

BTW– Does Nancy have a wall or fence around her home? Does she lock her doors at night? Just wondering.
