Although President Donald Trump has enjoyed a largely unified bloc of support for the past decade, the ongoing military action in Iran has resulted in some dissension on the right.
Among the most vocal opponents of the operation is Tucker Carlson, who has focused much of his criticism on what he believes is America’s undue deference toward Israel.
He discussed the topic again in depth for a video called “The Most Important Tucker Carlson Video You Will Watch,” in which he called out many on the right, particularly fellow commentator Mark Levin, for seeking to silence those who question Israel’s influence in the operation.
The Daily Caller provided this report:
The Carlson-Levin rift has fueled significant social media chatter in recent weeks as a number of other prominent conservative pundits have also chosen sides in the ongoing debate:“And Mark Levin, who has positions that are shared by only a tiny percentage of the American population, this is knowable through public opinion polling, is telling you that anyone who disagrees with him must be silenced,” Carlson continued.
Levin said on “Liberty’s Voice” that technology and social media companies should de-platform so-called “Nazis” and claimed those criticizing Israel are espousing violence.
Carlson alleged that Levin’s rhetoric influenced Democratic New Jersey Rep. Josh Gottheimer and Republican New York Rep. Mike Lawler, who he called “the most florid and least ashamed neocons” in Congress. The two lawmakers introduced a resolution Wednesday which calls on social media platforms to combat so-called antisemitism online.
“That definition is now the operative definition and it means that criticizing the behavior of a foreign government is a hate crime and can get you censored in your own country,” Carlson continued.
I’m calling out Tucker Carlson, Dave Smith, Nick Fuentes and the other podcast reprobates—and drawing a clear line between strong political commentary and what I see as reckless rhetoric. Here’s the full text of Levin’s post above:In its post, Mediaite's Michael Luciano, a rabid leftist and Trump-hater, writes: "In the weeks leading up to Trump’s decision to bomb the country [Iran], Levin and Carlson separately visited the White House, where they lobbied Trump for and against the war, respectively."…

Other former Trump allies have joined Carlson in calling out the administration’s operation in Iran. Ex-lawmaker Marjorie Taylor Greene even joined the host recently to discuss her apparent disillusionment. In its post, Mediaite’s Michael Luciano, a rabid leftist and Trump-hater, writes: “In the weeks leading up to Trump’s decision to bomb the country [Iran], Levin and Carlson separately visited the White House, where they lobbied Trump for and against the war, respectively.”
Carlson visited the White House and led a lobbying effort to protect the Iranian regime. President Trump obviously dismissed him. Mediaite does not tell us who else he spoke to at the White House.
I neither visited the White House in the lead up to the war nor lobbied President Trump. My views were and are stated on my radio and TV shows, video podcasts, and in posts on social media. They are long held. And if I express them in private to anyone, they are the same as I express in public. And I will continue to do so.
The Iranian regime has slaughtered tens of thousands of people, executes innocent young people every single day, killed and maimed thousands of Americans, tried to assassinate our president, is the leading supporter of terrorism around the world, and would use nuclear weapons against us if it could. I am proud to promote, repeat, and defend everything I have said about this genocidal regime and the moral urgency to effectively confront it. I’ll let history judge me as it will judge the Fifth Column isolationists, like Carlson, who is a mouthpiece and lapdog for this enemy, Putin, and others.
But as The Independent reported, one of the former colleagues she called out on the program wasted no time responding to her claims:
Despite the misgivings of some in his base, Trump remains resolved to finish the job in Iran to prevent the notorious sponsor of global terrorism from obtaining nuclear weapons:“But Mike Lawler was unbelievably… I thought he was a Democrat. I was like, he’s literally a Democrat. He’s so against all the things that Republican voters care about, and he clearly hates Donald Trump.”
She went on to claim that the congressman’s attitude towards the president changed significantly after Trump won the Republican primary in 2024.
“I saw this unbelievable change in him,” Greene said. “All of a sudden, Mike Lawler, I started joking. I started calling him MAGA Mike Lawler because he was all of a sudden becoming Trump’s biggest supporter.”
Responding, a spokesman for Rep. Lawler told The Independent: “Marjorie Taylor Greene, AKA Jewish Space Laser Lady, AKA Moscow Marge, AKA one of the dumbest people to ever serve in Congress, has zero credibility on any issue. Unlike Marjorie, who went from sycophant to psychopath in the span of five years, I’ve always been true to who I am and what I believe.
“I voted for the president three times, was a delegate in 2016, and have worked with the president to deliver results for my district, including lifting the cap on SALT. When I agree with the president, I say it. When I disagree with the president, I say it. I will always represent my district and do what I think is right for our country. Marjorie can go sit and spin, as she goes down in history as one of the least liked and most ignorant members to ever serve.”
