On Thursday, six people were injured in a horrific mass shooting that took place at a mall in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

17-year-old Markel Lee has been arrested in connection with the shooting.

Police are currently searching for additional suspects.
Sadly, one of the victims injured in yesterday's shooting has passed away.
She was identified as 17-year-old Martha Odom, a student at Ascension Episcopal School in the nearby town of Lafayette.
Another victim, 43-year-old Donnie Guillory, is still fighting for his life at the hospital.

A 17-year-old suspect was arrested on a murder charge following a shooting Thursday at a Baton Rouge, Louisiana, mall that left a 17-year-old girl dead and a 43-year-old man critically injured.
Markel Lee was taken into custody on charges of first-degree murder, five counts of attempted first-degree murder, and one count of illegal use of a firearm. He turned himself in to police Friday with his attorney, Baton Rouge Police Chief TJ Morse said.
The shooting happened just before 1:30 p.m. in the food court area of the Mall of Louisiana and involved two groups that had gotten into a disagreement.
A police officer assigned to the mall and an East Baton Rouge sheriff’s deputy who was in the mall parking lot immediately responded after shots rang out.
"Our Baton Rouge police officers and East Baton Rouge sheriff's officers ran into gunfire and risked their lives in the process of saving countless others," Baton Rouge Mayor-President Sid Edwards said at a news conference on Friday afternoon.
Martha Odom, a senior at Ascension Episcopal School in Lafayette, about 60 miles west of Baton Rouge, was killed in the shooting.

The young girl who tragically lost her life, Martha Odom, had her whole life ahead of her.
She was at the mall that fateful day with friends participating in "senior skip day."
It was only three weeks before their graduation.

Martha Odom, a senior at Ascension Episcopal School in Youngsville, was killed on Thursday afternoon at Baton Rouge's Mall of Louisiana after being struck in crossfire when two groups began shooting at each other, authorities said.
She had been visiting the mall with friends for a 'senior skip day' just weeks before graduation from the $19,500-a-year school.
Police say the shooting began shortly after 1.20pm when a dispute escalated and multiple people opened fire.
Odom suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and later died, according to the coroner's office.
Two of her classmates were also hit and are recovering, while another victim, Donnie Guillory, remains in critical condition.

Just innocent kids in an innocent place until a group of thugs decided to settle their business with bullets in a public food court.
Her parents shouldn't be making plans to bury their daughter this weekend. They should be making graduation plans, summer plans..
Pray for the Odom family. Pray for Ascension. Pray for the two kids still fighting to heal.
And pray those thugs face every ounce of what they earned yesterday.
