As White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller explained in a recent interview, one ruling by the US Supreme Court stands out as a particularly impactful win for both the Trump administration and the American people.

He elaborated on the 6-3 decision that struck down nationwide injunctions by other courts regarding the president’s efforts to restrict birthright citizenship claims.

The Daily Caller provided a recap of Miller’s remarks:

“It’s monumental, Bret. This 6-3 ruling restores American democracy. So, President Trump, over the last five months, had more nationwide injunctions issued against him than were issued in the 100 years of the 20th century,” Miller said. “Most of these nationwide injunctions have come from a small handful of very hard left district court judges in just four or five cities, like Los Angeles, Boston, San Francisco, Chicago.”

Miller pointed to this decision as a reaffirmation of the executive branch’s authority, specifically the president’s role in directing federal agencies.

“No one in America consented to be ruled by a district court judge in Chicago or Manhattan or Los Angeles or San Francisco. They elected one American president to run the executive branch. Today the Supreme Court has said President Trump is the one in charge of the executive branch,” Miller said. “The Department of Defense, the Department of Justice, the Department of Homeland Security, that is how our democracy works.”

Miller said unelected judges in liberal cities should not have the authority to override the will of the American people.

Meanwhile on MSNBC, leftist talking heads couldn’t contain their outrage over the decision, as Fox News reported:

MSNBC host Symone Sanders Townsend unloaded on the Supreme Court’s ruling on President Donald Trump’s birthright citizenship executive order, calling it “insane” during a discussion on Friday.

“I just don’t, I can’t believe that we are asking the question, ‘is the 14th Amendment to the Constitution constitutional?’ That is what, it is crazy. And I am sorry, but people need to call, ‘this is crazy.’ They are asking us… They’re asking us not to believe our own eyes and our own ears. They’re asking us to go against everything that we know to be true. This is insane,” Sanders Townsend said.
