Republican NYC Mayoral Candidate Curtis Sliwa just casually revealed two stunning things that we didn’t previously know.

While he’s always been in a distant 3rd place in this race, apparently he is making some very powerful people very angry and very worried.

Speaking in a new street interview, he just revealed that “they” bribed him with $10 million if he would drop out of the race.

When that didn’t work, they’re now threatening to kill both him and his wife.

Reporting me. Now, a lot of people wondered, why hasn’t Curtis dropped out? But why haven’t you dropped out?

If people are worried that Mondale is gonna win because you’re gonna split the vote and whatnot, but you’re a Republican and Cuomo lost to Mondale — why won’t you drop out?

Well, decisively — and by the way, they bribed me with ten million dollars to drop out, and I said, “Oh no, that’s not only unethical, that’s illegal.”

So then they couldn’t bribe me, so they threatened to kill me and my wife.

Now, I have, for the first time in my life, armed security — after the Gottis and Gambinos shot me with five hollow-point bullets, and I recovered in 1992.

I never had armed security. Now I have to have armed security.

So they think — these billionaires, these insiders and influencers — they think they’re gonna pick the next mayor.

Guess what? I trust the people. The people vote. That’s what democracy is about — one person, one vote — and we’ll see who they pick on November 4th.

And I believe it’ll be me.

Meanwhile, the gap between Mamdani, Cuomo and Sliwa is closing, but will it close fast enough to save NYC?

The NY Post reveals that if Sliwa dropped out, Cuomo would currently have the lead:

Radical socialist Zohran Mamdani’s lead over Andrew Cuomo has dropped to just 6.6 points in a new shocking poll in the mayor’s race – giving him the smallest edge he has held in any survey since July.

A new Atlas Intel survey has Mamdani leading the field with 40.6%, but by a far narrower margin than he has in other recent polls. It has the former New York governor, who is running as an independent, climbing by leaps and bounds to 34%.

It also gives Sliwa his best showing, at 24.1%, his high water mark since a HarrisX poll in July that had him at 22%.

Cuomo seized on the new poll result as proof he could prevail over his left wing rival.

“The gap is closing fast — we can feel it on the ground everywhere from the Bronx to Staten Island. At this rate, we win the race. Keep going strong,” he said in a statement.

The results come days after a pair of polls showed Mamdani with a comfortable lead. A Fox news poll released Thursday had Mamdani leading Cuomo by 47% to 31%, with Sliwa at just 15%, while an Emerson College poll had him leading by 50% to 25%, with Sliwa at 21%.

Mamdani leads by an average of 14.5% in the latest Real Clear Politics polling average, putting him on a path to walk into Gracie Mansion.

The average has him at 45%, followed by Cuomo at 31% and Sliwa at 17%.

The new Atlas poll reveals the impact of Sliwa’s run, amid calls for him to drop out. If it were a two-man contrast between Cuomo and Mamdani, Cuomo would lead 50% to 42%, according to the poll.

Meanwhile, Polymarket is almost never wrong and it has much different polling/odds, putting Mamdani at 95%:
