You might as well say that Sen. Bernie Sanders is under pressure to continue his failed campaign or leave the 2020 presidential race as a two-time losing candidate.
During his interview with CNN's Manu Raju, Sanders informed the reporter that he was reassessing his campaign going forward, but when Raju pressed him on a timeline, the Vermont socialist snapped back, cursing for no reason at all

Bernie needed to become a registered Democrat to gain the trust of the DNC. Since he refused, that meant he did not have to follow their financial and policy obligations. He wanted their support but didn't want to oblige by their rules. How was that going to happen? The man is pushing 80 years old. It almost looks like he was trying to build up a retirement fund.
Sanders is not a Democrat, and he is not a compromiser. Therefore older Dems are always going to be skeptical of him. Biden was the frontrunner for several months; however, he did not do well in the first few debates, so he did not raise the money needed to run ads in Iowa and New Hampshire.
Because he ran in 2016, Sanders had established campaign offices in Iowa, NewHampshire, and Nevada. If South Carolina had been the first primary, then Biden would have been in the first or second position.

Bernie has lots of support from college voters. They like to party, go to events, and participate in protest marches, but they don't vote! No serious candidate should pay any attention to the young voters who just want to party and then sleep in on election day.
What Bernie has to come to grips with is, what he did in 2016 was more about people not wanting Hillary Clinton as opposed to wanting him.
Time for Bernie to pursue his other career…Orchestra conductor, maybe?

Sanders responded to Raju's question with this, “I'm dealing with a f* global crisis. You know, we're dealing with.”
Raju's question came a day after former Vice President Joe Biden defeated Sanders with decisive primary victories in Arizona, Florida, and Illinois. Biden also expanded his delegate lead, placing more pressure on Sanders to drop out of the race.Sen. Bernie Sanders grew angry when asked about his campaign plans. During a gaggle with reporters in the Capitol, I asked Sanders about his timeframe for making a decision, and he lashed out: "I'm dealing with a fucking global crisis. You know, we're dealing with."

I noted he's running for president, and he said: “Well right now, right now I'm trying to do my best to make sure that we don't have an economic meltdown and that people don't die. Is that enough for you to keep me busy for today?”

The blowup occurred about half way through a five-minute gaggle where Sanders talked about the “unprecedented crisis of our lifetime,” calling for a range of measures that the U.S. government should take in the midst of the economic crisis.

Afterwards, he mellowed out and answered questions about the crisis for about two more minutes.
