Pregnant Tesla Passenger Seriously Injured By Two-Pound Rock Thrown Through Windshield

The destructive and often violent protests aimed at Telsa owner Elon Musk continue to put property and lives in danger.

Although it is too early in the investigation to definitively determine whether such sentiment was behind one recent incident, authorities in Canada are looking into the possible motive.

As Breitbart reported:

The rock reportedly smashed through the car windshield and seriously injured a pregnant woman in the passenger seat before landing on the floor of the Tesla. The victim is expected to make a full recovery.

“We are working to determine whether this was a criminal act, and if someone intentionally targeted this Tesla,” Vancouver Police Department Sergeant Steve Addison said. “This very serious incident could easily have resulted in someone’s death, but for a few inches.”

While investigators examined the Tesla and canvassed the neighborhood, authorities have yet to determine where the rock came from and are encouraging the public to call 604-717-4021 if they have any information.

Police specified they would like to hear from anyone who either saw the incident or may have footage taken on Nanaimo Street, between East 29th and East 22nd March 30, between 8:40 and 9:00 p.m.

A staggering 130 additional officers, meanwhile, have been deployed to various “Tesla Takedown” events over the weekend in Vancouver, where they have been tasked with keeping the peace.

Plenty of other acts and threats in recent days have clearly been aimed at Tesla owners and dealers:

Fox News recently compiled a list of 10 incidents involving Tesla dealerships, including:

A Cybertruck was set on fire in the parking lot of a Tesla dealership in Kansas City on March 17, just before midnight. According to the Kansas City Star, the fire then spread to a second vehicle before firefighters arrived at the scene.

The FBI’s Kansas City field office and the ATF issued a joint statement on the incident on Tuesday. They said it was still “too early in the investigation to comment further” or give more details on what may have occurred.

Five Tesla vehicles were damaged at a service center in Las Vegas, including two that were set on fire. FBI Las Vegas Special Agent in Charge Spencer Evans told reporters on Tuesday that the incident “certainly has some of the hallmarks” of a terrorist attack, but that it was still too early to say for sure.

Musk condemned the incident, saying it was “insane and deeply wrong.”

Attorney General Pam Bondi released a statement Tuesday evening saying, “the swarm of violent attacks on Tesla property is nothing short of domestic terrorism.” She vowed that the DOJ would continue investigating and said that those responsible would face serious consequences.

Despite the lawless nature of many anti-Musk demonstrations, some prominent public figures seem to have tacitly encouraged the protesters:
