When liberals say no one is coming for your guns that’s a bigger lie than gun control is about commonsense and safety. The New York City Police Department just executed an illegal warrant and confiscated a man’s firearms collection. Why? Because they can get away with it in the epicenter of liberalism. Too bad this guy wasn’t an illegal alien or he would have been able to keep his guns and stay out of jail.

Here’s a thing that the NYPD is very proud of:
http://nypdnews.com/2018/05/queens-search-warrant-nets-arsenal-of-guns-and-ammunition/

" Secret chambers are a staple in movies, but several cops in eastern Queens discovered they can exist in unassuming New York City homes.

The police officers recovered an arsenal of guns and ammunition in a hidden room after responding to a home as the result of a landlord/tenant dispute. A tenant at the residence had been arguing with her landlord when she observed a large knife and a gun in his waistband. She called 911 and members of the 105th Precinct’s Anti-Crime Team responded to the location. The officers stopped the man and recovered a large knife; then they requested a search warrant to look for the firearm.

On Thursday April 26, the 105th Precinct’s Field Intelligence Officer (FIO), along with the Anti-Crime Team and Emergency Services Unit (ESU) executed the search warrant. They found a hidden room behind a bookcase in one of the bedrooms and recovered 16 guns and over 10,000 rounds of ammunition. "

The NYPD says it arrested this 44-year-old man for multiple counts of illegal gun possession, and clearly they took all of his firearms.

I have more than a few problems with this and it starts with the initial police stop. Based on the tenant saying she saw this man with a knife and a gun, they pulled him over and searched him. The woman never said the man threatened her with any weapons, just that he had them. So what? Since when is that a crime? I guess in NYC it is considered one, but in reality it is not.

Then we have the issue with the warrant. The police found the man in possession of a knife, but no gun. Based on this, the cops got a judge to give them permission to search his house. Why? It’s the tenant’s word agains this man’s. If he says he doesn’t have a gun and cops didn’t find one, they should have moved on. I think they are so hysterically against gun ownership in NY that just throwing out the word “gun” is legal grounds for violating any number of Constitutional rights.

Now I want you to look at the picture. Cops said they confiscated 16 guns, but there are 19 guns in the photo of their haul. Is that actually a picture of the guns they confiscated or is it just a stock photo they use for busts like this? Also, you may notice that not a single one of those firearms is a handgun, which they claim was what they were looking for.

Here’s a list of the guns the cops say they took from this man:

▪ Roman Arms AK-47 7.62
▪ Smith and Wesson MP-15
▪ Winchester 12 Gauge Shotgun
▪ Savage Arms 338 Rifle with tripod
▪ Mossberg 12 Gauge 500a Shotgun
▪ Top Shelf 25 Wolff 7.62 with 30 round magazine
▪ Crossman Extreme .177 rifle
▪ Remington Summit Rifle .22
▪ D/Technik Sporter 7.62 Rifle
▪ Ruger SR 556
▪ Fabrique Nationale
▪ POF USA Model P-308
▪ Ruger 10/22
▪ Storm Ruger
▪ Weatherby 20 Gauge Shotgun
▪ Magaline Savage Arms Model 10 .308 CAL

Again, that’s 16 guns, not the 19 in the photo. What’s up with that?

Yeah, some of those guns are currently banned by New York’s unconstitutional gun laws, but then again maybe this guy owned them since before the ban.
It doesn’t really matter because police had no legal reason to search his house in the first place.
I bet if he had 10 kilos of cocaine, the ACLU would sue the NYPD on his behalf, but because it was guns, no dice.

This is a perfect example of how stupid gun control laws turn otherwise law-abiding people into felons.

There is no indication that this man was a criminal or ever did anything but collect and enjoy firearms. Now he can never own a gun again and he’s probably going to do serious time in prison.

Thanks liberals.
